AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Feb 19, 2008 Cloudy gold with a huge foaming head which settles to a whipped cream topping. Dry, spicy earthy funk aroma. Medium body. Dustbowl dry flavors of grainy pale malts with an earthy yeast essence. Has a light hop bite to finish. Lots of flavor for 4.5%, a regular in my fridg. 397 MaxxDaddy (261), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Feb 18, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours pale hazy yellow with large fluffy white head, not much retention with a little lacing. Aroma is big brett, along with some citrus and spices. Taste has more brett in store, along with a bit of spiciness and kind of minerally. A bit prickly on the tongue and finishes yeasty and tart. Goes down very easy, I can see why people call this an every day beer. jessbnjess (15), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Feb 17, 2008 Poured a cloudy orange-yellow with large white head that quickly dissipated and slight lacing. Aroma is a little spicy and much more sour than I expected - it definitely smells like a Jolly Pumpkin. Flavor yeasty, a little spicy, and slightly tart. Finish definitely shows the tartness and spice, and the flavor lingers for a while. I would definitely enjoy this beer again. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Feb 11, 2008 750ml - Cloudy, hazy brass color, spicy nose, classic spicy, acidic, lambic flavor profile. Nice take on the original. travita (1861), Frisco, Texas, USA Feb 10, 2008 Thick creamy white head. Complex spiced smells of apple, fruits, and other spices. Retains it head very well. Cloudy yellow to orange color. Flavor is slightly sour and fruity with a hop edge.
kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Feb 8, 2008 Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a very large fluffy head that filled half the glass. Aroma was yeasty, a little sour fruit and also spicy coriander. Flavor is very dry with some interesting yeast flavors and a nice spiceness. Spicy long finish, medium bodied. JohnC (2230), Mission Viejo, California, USA Feb 7, 2008 Pours hazy golden with a lumpy white, meringue-like, head. Not quite as tangy as many saisons, but has some funk and spiciness mtjoseph (36), Murderapolis, Minnesota, USA Feb 6, 2008 12oz Bottle. Popped the cap off the bottle, and it immediately began to foam out the top. Cloudy golden pour with a large big bubbled head that somewhat quickly faded. An earthy aroma mainly consisting of yeast, grass and spices. Not as much there as far as flavor and palate goes from what I expected from the aroma. Maybe its the dry hops and the unusually large amount of carbonation, but its somewhat bland. Marginally disappointed.
