Commercial Description:
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a very large fluffy head that filled half the glass. Aroma was yeasty, a little sour fruit and also spicy coriander. Flavor is very dry with some interesting yeast flavors and a nice spiceness. Spicy long finish, medium bodied.

Pours hazy golden with a lumpy white, meringue-like, head. Not quite as tangy as many saisons, but has some funk and spiciness

12oz Bottle. Popped the cap off the bottle, and it immediately began to foam out the top. Cloudy golden pour with a large big bubbled head that somewhat quickly faded. An earthy aroma mainly consisting of yeast, grass and spices. Not as much there as far as flavor and palate goes from what I expected from the aroma. Maybe its the dry hops and the unusually large amount of carbonation, but its somewhat bland. Marginally disappointed.

Aug. 2006 - Ehhh...I wasn’t digging it. Beer poured straw/orange color with a head like soda (appeared fast, went to nothing fast. Aroma was funky with some citrus spice. Flavor was hoppy for style, citrus lemon with barnyard funk and a sour finish. Wasn’t pleasant, really.

[bottle] Hazy yellow in color, with a nice white head. Excellent retention. Mildly funky aroma, with an interesting pepper/spice character. Flavors are really refreshing-- crisp, malt foundation, with some tart wheat flavors blending with brett and a wonderful hop bitterness. Very lively carbonation.

750 ml bottle: Batch 264. Pours straw with white frothy head. Aroma of lemons, hops, and kind of grainy. Taste some of the lemon, dry hop a bitterness on the finish. I liked this one the best of the Jolly Pumpkins that are available in my area.

Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a tulip. This saison poured a hazy golden orange hue with a huge, rocky, off-white head that lasted throughout the glass. Spiderweb lacing coated the entire inside of the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of spicy, earthy hops, grass, lemon, white pepper, and some musty funk. The flavor included pepper, cloves, crisp citrus, earthy yeast notes, and a very mild funkiness. The mouthfeel was crisp and finished slightly dry with a moderate level of carbonation. A woderful aroma and an extreme drinkability made this an awsome brew. Great summer session beer!

12 oz bottle, English Pint. Accused wife of shaking bottle, as beer foamed out, blanketing counter after removing the cap. Only my cat-like reflexes saved the remainder. Pours a cloudy orange, wtih a massive and thick ivory head. Aroma dominated by citrus and yeast. Flavor is light, with some spice, citrus and yeast. Dry hopping give is a slightly bitter finish, with a creamy, albeit fizzy, palate. Drinkable beer. Probably best during the warmer months.
