Pours hazy yellow gold with massive white head. Aroma is malty, yeasty, lemon, and clove. Flavor is light with citrus, yeast, malt, and light fruits. Palate is light and refreshing. High carbonation and a good easy drinker. Pretty good brew. 17thfloor (1403), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 29, 2009 On draft at xnoxhatex’s wedding reception, man that was awesome! Pours a light hazy peach color with a thick white sudsy froth. Aroma is lightly malty, yeasty, lightly fruity, touch of funk, maybe some vanilla. Flavor follows aroma but is definitely more delicate and lighter, yeasty, super refreshing, light funk. Light bodied with nice sparkling carbonation, very easy drinking and refreshing. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Jul 26, 2009 Pours a hazy straw colour. The head is white, large, and laces well. Aroma is quite tart, lots of Brett in here. Oranges, cherry skin, lemons and that good old barnyard funk. The taste is very citrusy and tart. Lemon, lime, grapefruit, grass, sour cherries, and a little wheat twang. Mouth feel is quite nice. Overall I found this one much like the La Roja, very enjoyable, but just a little too simple to get super high marks. Savvy1982 (303), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Jul 26, 2009 Bottle. Batch 299/300. Pours a hazy yellow-gold, with a lacy white head. Nose is straight up brett, with notes of salty lemons, orange rind, horseblanket and stale hops. Yeast, wheat, and orange/coriander notes, along with a prevailing dry lemon character best describe the palate. Mouthcoating due to some obvious wheat, dry, slightly spicy, sour finish, with plenty of bretty horseblanket. A nice, sour version of Saison, very tasty, but I was expecting more complexity. Joakgust (320), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 24, 2009 Bottle, 75 cl - Hazy golden orange beer with a large frothy head. Aroma is fresh malty with notes of citurs, grassy hops and sour red berries. Flavor is dry malty with notes of green apples and unripe plums. Very refreshing dry beer! 502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jul 24, 2009 bottle 9.99 into snifter (batch 324/325). Really hazy yellow/orangish color with not much of a white head t all (4.5 abv... whats up here?). One of the best saison aromas I have ever smelled - the typical citrus, clove, and wheat aroma with a nice vanilla quality and a good brettish yeast note to boot. The flavor is pretty much the same. Lot more brett than I expected given the non-mention of Brett in the ratings I read. I am not a saison guy, but I dig this one because of the brett. Nice refreshing easy going summer beer with a light dry sharp finish. Medium to lite body with medium carbonation
