jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Oct 5, 2007 Smells tart, sour with oak. Pours golden with lots of head. Flavor is lightly spiced, oak, citrus, and mostly tart. Its not overly sour like some other JP brews. Orangey, crisp, tart, with hints of spice. Pretty good. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA Oct 5, 2007 Golden light orange in color. Citrus-like aroma. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 28, 2007 Pours a hazy yellow orange colour with a big white fluffy head. Aroma is peppery with strong sour lemon lime hints and some yeast. Taste is quite lemony with strong lime and orange peel overtones. Lighter on the white bready malts. Has a nice spicy peppery feel to it. Tasty. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 28, 2007 Pours a clouded gold with a quarter inch white head that stays. Nose is kind of mild with a slight yeast presence. Flavor is very smooth and traditional saison. Feel is a little less meaty than I like, but still fairly good. Extremely drinkable. A damn good saison, and an American produced one at that. PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 26, 2007 Bottle: Pours a hazy honey-golden with a fizzy white head. Bright fruity aroma. Lots of gentle lemon, apple, honey, damp canvas, and mild spices; enticing. Has a mild flavor with a solid tartness. Overall it’s pretty lemon-y and has musty earthy undertones of barnyard and a white pepper hint. The finish is very clean. A straight forward, highly quaff-able Saison. mkofron (155), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Sep 25, 2007 Hazy dark yellow body... massive long lasting whipped cream like white head. Brett sourness in the nose along with citrus. A departure from a typical Saison in flavor.. tart, sour flavor finishes on the dry side. Major thanks to vyvvy for this bottle.
