BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA Jun 23, 2007 750ml bottle from Florian’s. Hazy light yellow body with a couple inches or so of rocky white head that dissipates slowly leaving a fair bit of lacing. Smells strongly fruity and spicy - very very good. Tastes sweet, fruity, pithy, and spicy, with strong citrus flavors. Lighter in body than many of the style, but it along with the fantastic flavor help make this among the most drinkable beers I’ve had. Very very good. juiceisloose (640), Windermere, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2007 Poured a cloudy golden color with a large frothy, white head. The aroma hits with you sour fruits, some citrus and yeast and some spicy malts and hops. The taste followed much the same with the ctirus taste and some sour fruits as well. Then the yeast and the spicy malts and hops hit and creates a great flavor. A lot going on in this and it is great. The finish was clean and crisp with a nice solid mouthfeel. My first saison and I really enjoyed it. This is a really good beer. Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany Jun 22, 2007 hazy pour, with a huge head, lots of Spicy aroma, citrus flavor, with lots of earth, and yeast, slightly fruity, refreshing. love a nice saison, and this is one! rotoguru (93), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Jun 17, 2007 Mild cloudy yellow/orange with ample head. nice nose with calm sweet aroma. Very mild sour wheat flavor with smotth aftertaste that lasts pleasantly. A good summer brew. TheShat (131), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Jun 17, 2007 Bottle pours a cloudy golden color with a nice head. The aroma is sweet and has a certain amount of sharpness. The flavor is light and crisp. There is some spice to it but I would not call it bittter. It also is a tad sour. the finish is clean and light. A good warm weather bear. bboeckl (133), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA Jun 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours cloudy pale yellow with white head. Taste is sour, spices, citrus. A unique beer. Captures the taste of a farmhouse saison to the point of putting me in the barn. I could be sitting in some dusty old dirt-floored farmhouse and drinking their unbelievable housebeer. Very special beer! I highly recommend. dra19 (89), Zeeland, Michigan, USA Jun 14, 2007 Pours a hazy brown with thick white head. Aroma is something like hay and is a little sour. Flavor of spices, fruits and yeast. Very good beer. skoisirius (570), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 14, 2007 12 oz bottle into a Trappist glass. Pours a hazy golden strawish color with an extremely retentive white head that last the entire glass. The aroma is beautiful: bits of funky hay, vegetable matter, grass, and a light hop hinge are present. What a perfect saison this is!! The flavor brings to the palate a ton of goodness while being very yeasty throughout. Hints of coriander, peaches, grass, citrus hops, and again a lot of yeast towards the finish. Somewhat on the dry side, and medium tartness. You can definitely tell this one is bottle conditioned. A tiny lingering funk sticks to the top of the palate past the finish, This could easily be one of my top five saisons!!
