Kevster (222), Bradenton, Florida, USA May 13, 2007 12 oz. bottle: Pours a cloudy golden color with a frothy off-white head that is mostly lasting leaving nice lacing. Has a spicy yeasty aroma. Spicy flavor is well balanced with a hint of citrus leaving a dry, sticky, peppery finish. Very refreshing! kkearn (994), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 11, 2007 bottle, from Union Jack’s on the Manatawny. Hazy golden color, with a thick white head. Nice aroma; sour with notes of citrus, yeast and soap. Dry yeasty flavor, fairly sour with some fruit, spice and hops. Complex, yeat refreshing; i could drink this all day. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA May 3, 2007 Pours cloudy pale orange with a lasting white head, good lacing. Nice mild aroma with light funkiness, grains, and dried fruit. Taste is full of citrus and wheat, a small touch of sourness and balanced yeast. Solid hop bittering. Body is frothy, creamy. I’m always impressed by this brewery. Very solid beer. BuckeyeBoy (1639), Boise, Idaho, USA May 3, 2007 12oz Bottle Pours out a hazy/pail yellow.
Topped with a Great white head. A very nice sweet fruit aroma. very tasty. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 3, 2007 WBF-Raleigh. Hazy light golden body with a thin white head. Sweet fruit and light tart aroma. Sweet fruity flavor with some spice and light tartness. Suttree (2701), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 3, 2007 Very Orvally. I mean it. If Orval had a little brother, this is what it would taste like (and yes, I do realize there is Petite Orval, but I’ve never had it. So unless you’re planning on sending me one, quit harshing my mellow, man). It had a lot of the same aroma and flavors - herbal, with a touch of sour but not overpowering. Perhaps a bit discombobulated, but extremely tasty Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA May 1, 2007 Fresh 12-oz. bottle: Hazy-orange hue; delicate head; yeasty nose; light and delicate palate. Malts were on the weak side; light grains and fermenting bread dough. Yeast aromas were pleasant and clean. Quite a bit of zingy hops and esters; tart lemon and faint orange; white pepper. Dry and light finish is followed by a lingering bitterness. Overall, I thought it was a refreshing and pleasant beer, albeit very light bodied, and weak in the malt department.
