kimcgolf (822), Dacula, Georgia, USA Apr 30, 2007 Pours to a light, slightly hazy orange with white head that lingers well and leaves good lacing. This has a slightly tangy, hoppy aroma of spcies, dough and orange citrus. Flavor is more of the same, with the emphasis on the fruity dough. Mouthfeel was slightly tingly, and the finish is nicely bitter, but offset by just a little staleness.
Not the best Saison I’ve had, but not a bad beer either. Juelze (889), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Apr 29, 2007 Trade from Nolankowal, thanks John! Pours a cloudy golden color with huge fluffy white head and lots of Belgian lace. Aroma is of lemon, spice, yeasty esters. Taste is lemon, must, funky yeast flavors, stale hops. Moderate carbonation an a dry finish. piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Apr 29, 2007 Bottled sample via oakbluff. Hazy gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas of coriander, lemon, earth, fruity Belgian yeast esters, and a bit of funk. In the mouth there’s a fairly strong herbal and lemon rind opening note, before some gentle light malt and mild fruit flavors creep in. Savory, yet clean finish. An excellent session saison. I want more! mynameisjonas (206), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Apr 25, 2007 not that bad tasting. i’m not sure if its mixing with taste of the previous beer i had or just this one but i taste dill pickles. i love pickles HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Apr 18, 2007 Bottle. Pours with a hazy yellow color. Aromas of citrus and lemon, flavors are of tart citrus, with a yeast backbone.
This beer is similar to a RR Temptation, similar carbonation and similar sourness without the oak component. nhorween (639), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 17, 2007 Bottle. Hazy honey color with a big white head. Nice, fresh aroma - gueze-esque. Straw, yeast, grass, marvelous hop notes, and light malty backbone. Slightly tart flavor. Flavor isn’t as nice as the aroma... Still, great upfront spiciness and a super mellow finish. Highly carbonated, almost like seltzer, but it works. This is a nice saison - give it to me with a bratwurst and some sunshine and I’ll be your friend forever. Cliff (355), Avon Lake, Ohio, USA Apr 17, 2007 Bottle, this stuff is great! Poured a slightly hazy deep straw color with a billowy white head. Great aromas of spicy yeastiness and earthy hops. I was skeptical about a dry hopped saison, but that quickly faded as I took my first sip of this delight. Bubbly mouthfeel and a great spicy flavor with anote of sourness and dry finish. Wonderful beer. The more Jolly Pumpkin I drink the more I want. Magicdave6 (5383), London, Greater London, England Apr 17, 2007 Bottle from the legend MartinT! My god i wasnt expecting this, peachy, earthy, lambic goodness, tart, amazing. Taste is going down the same lines as the aroma, what a beer i could drink this till it came out my tits.
