alafito (334), tijuana, Mexico Apr 11, 2007 Cloudy golden with a massive head and extra long retension... soo long that when i was done there still was a big 2 inch knot of foam on the bottom of the glass. Lightly spiced, tart and herbal, with a bit of hay on the back. The palate is crisp and refreshing.. goes well with salads, a bit acidic at the end and finishes with a dry tart twinge. bdjames29 (272), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 9, 2007 Bottle. Hmmm. Interesting brew. Huge white head that spewed from bottle -head interestingly fades to an off-white color. Cloudy honey color. Aroma is strong of green apple, pumpkin. Fairly tart flavor - a young taste that is missing a certain something, possibly a bit flat. A sweet and fruity brew. Ok - not great - not a repeat purchase. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Apr 9, 2007 Cloudy Yellow with White Head. Floral, Herbed Malt Aroma. Very Floral on the Palate..Almost Exceedingly So...Overpowering on the Chives? Notes. Nice Saison take, but Intensely Herbed. Dry Herbal Aftertaste. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA Apr 7, 2007 Cloudy dark amber, with a huge white head; very effervescent. Nose is very funky--seems to be some brett, quite sour, including a bit of sulphur. Flavor is a bit tart, with some green apples. Very dry. Odd stuff; too dry for a saison, not quite sour enough for a lambic... GonZoBeeR (2155), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Apr 7, 2007 Aroma:flower, spicy and citrus....
Appearance:hazy yellow,goof foaming white head..
Flavor:acidity, citrus fruit,spicy... b33r (363), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Apr 7, 2007 Cloudy dark yellow in color with large white head. Aroma was sour and fruity. Flavor was well balanced with fruits and hops- very citric, sweet and sour. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA Apr 4, 2007 Updated: Apr 5, 200712 oz. bottle. Poured a beautiful cloudy orange amber with a puffy white meringue head. Doughy, lemony and sweaty aroma. Slightly tart lemony flavor over musty dough. Some metal notes. Lively carbonation. Initially, the aroma and taste seemed a little too funky, but the beer seemed to mellow out. Even so, a little too doughy and underflavored overall. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Apr 3, 2007 Brew pours a slightly tawnied yellow color w/ a huge semi spritzy froth that turns creamy after a bit. Head retention is phenominal finally reducing to a snow covered, 3D geological map of hills and valleys in some far off land. Aroma is that of a floral perfume w/ citrus rind. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers to include a few Champagne streamers. A light yet round maltiness delivers a spiced citrus elixer. Totally dry w/ a mild fruit backbone. A persistant peachpit bittering agent sets in midpalate and carries through to the finish. The finish is parched and dry leaving only a perfume essence to dissmember. This is a great American representation of this Belgian style.
