Pours a thick white head, with lots of lacing, over a cloudy, pale yellow (SRM 3) body.....nose is citrus, apple vinegar, Belgian barnyard funk, ginger, cedar....taste is combination of citrus, apple, tiny bit of sweet, finishing with a lingering bitterness...mouth feel is light, carbonation high. Over all this is very reminiscent of scrumpy.

It smells like what I was looking for but the taste is a little muted. It’s very clean but I wish it had a little more bite - I think New Belgium’s La Folie tastes like this smells. I was hoping for a little more sour. JoeTheYounger (304), California, USA

The beer had an attractive appearance, the fluid was cloudy and yellow. The foam was large, white and fluffy.
Nice, slightly sour aroma. Wheat, citrus maybe even some apples?
The flavor was very fresh and refreshing. Soap, grass, spices, carbonation was lively and liquid was dry. A wonderful saison that had a nice balance between sourness and bitterness. Great! AGAquino (105), San Juan, Puerto Rico
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Bright yellow colour with a thin offwhite head and very nice lacing. Nice Belgian brett funk, citrus lemony and orange peel, with slight dried appricot aroma. Flavor follows aroma, with mild brett yeast funk, floral esters, and traces of clove and tartness. Very light on alcohol with balanced vegetal, spice and sweet citrus finish. Very nice example of saison style, MtStateBeer (82), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA
