Commercial Description:
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Pours cloudy golden with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of chamomile, orange, white wine, and cloves. Taste is herbal citrus, restrained yeasty esters, and flowery hops with mild notes of toasted malt. Mouthfeel is thin bodied with heavy, foaming carbonation and a dry finish. The spicing was a bit overdone and the yeast was not as assertive as I would have liked.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with a nice blurb about the ale on the right side of front label, no bottled/freshness date. Made a good appearance, poured cloudy with small bits of sediment, an amber hued golden with a foamy, somewhat billowing white head that slowly settled into a thin, semi-sticky, foamy lacing, decent carbonation. Had a big farmhouse funky nose, spicy, musty, a slightly sour fruitiness and a dry earthiness. A smooth, textured on the tongue, creamy medium bodied mouth feel, very good drinkability. Spicy malty taste at first, followed by a dry hop bitterness, the label wasn’t lying, earthy, a sour fruitiness and a dry yeasty, grainy malty finish, in a word, delicious. A good Farmhouse Ale from Jolly Pumpkin, balanced tasting and highly quaffable.

The first thing that strikes me is one of the most beautiful heads that I had see in a long time. Very Fluffy eggshell white that just didn’t want to go away. Lovely spices are pornounced w/ just a hint of tartness.

on bottle. slightly hazy orange, beige head. Very inviting aroma; sour hay, dirt, yeasts. Flat oon the taste tho´. Gets acidic and stingy after a while and started to remind me of rotten mash. Finishes rather slow and waterish.

pours cloudy coppery/gold with a huge white head. sweet citrus/lemon, caramel and fruity sourness(like watered down vinegar) in the aroma. flavor is full of peppery yeast, dried herbs and wood with a little citrus sourness. finishes dry and crisp with some lingering bitterness. medium bodied and on the high side of carbonation.

Straw color with a massive foamy head that laces when (if?) it goes down. Aromas are intense and interesting, of cinammon, coriander and sweet honey. Maybe a pumpkin pie undertone in the nose. Flavor is tart, with spices mixing with the acidic body. I should have stopped at the aroma, since this one heads downhill at first sip.

(Bottle, batch 354/355) Poured pale golden and almost clear with medium sized, creamy and white head. Aroma was spice, peppery, fruity and sour. Palate was medium bodied and dry with quite high carbonation. Flavours were sourness, grass, fruitiness, light spiciness, bitterness and hint of sweetness. Sour and bit hoppy aftertaste.
