Commercial Description:
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Pretty decent. Not very adventurous though... Looks like pear cider, and has some apple, pear, and lime, lemon, and ’nana flavors to it. very carbonated with a clean mouthfeel. lol, i kinda wish i had facto’s bottle... mine had no funk and anything exciting about it... lol.

Thanks to July Santa for this beer. Soft straw color with a big foamy head. Spice, hops, melon, banana....great nose. Flavor is a bit of Jolly funk with a sweet malt flavor mixed with spices and citrus. Thanks Santa.

From the bottle.

Pours a hazy honey amber with a beautiful, fine, and long-lived pure white head.

The aroma is funk, barnyard, lemon, and hay; the flavor is a tart, dry saison with lemon juice, goat cheese, mustiness, and a crisp dry finish.

Very well crafted example of a style that admittedly in not my favorite [Editor’s note: A year or two later, this style (Saison) is literally my favorite even if this style of saison is not. Go @%$’n figure.], but still...very nicely put together.

This saison reminds me of Orval — the finish of both have that spicy, astringent, plasticy, bandage taste. This just isn’t as strong, but strong enough to dominate the beer. Beautiful pour. Murky yellow golden body. Huge foamy white head. Spicy aroma of coriander with notes of lemon and mildewy earth. Flavor starts sweet but quickly introduces some medicinal bitterness along with the astringency. The palate is smooth from the full body and perfect carbonation. Very dry finish. Overall, the astringency rules and not in a good way for me.

Bottle. 10 cl. sample. Pours yellow with a white head. Sweet n’ sour aroma with candy-like hops in the background. Nice. Flavour is a mix between tart and citrus hops. Dry, bitter, tart finish with a lingering bitterness behind the tartness. Feels light but still with some punch. Too much carbonation. 28-10-08.

Robe blonde légèrement voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse en dentelle qui s’estompe. Arômes acides de poussière et de houblon agrume. Saveurs de fleurs, d’agrumes, de levures, de céréales et de soufre. Wow!

Golden pour with a big white head. Spicy malt nose with that saison funkiness. Fruity and tart with some definitely spice and a lightly dry finish. Enjoyable.

(Bottle) Pours a hazy light amber color with a nice amount of head. Spicy, musty aroma. Mildly bitter and astringent. Decent palate, despite the strong carbonation. Grassy, with some vegetable character as well. Nicely balanced. Enjoyable!
