This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

12 mos old 750ml. Fluffy white head bib bubbles. Hazy gold. Smells like a farmhouse should - barnyard with yeast, citrus fruit on the nose. Highly effervescent (light bodied) which I've been seeing a lot from jolly lately. Super drinkable but that means a bit less flavor than I'd like to see on the palate. Good for sessions. Paired with an earthy Brie cheese. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy light yellow, minimal white head. Horsey, strong citrus, some earthiness. Light sourness, quite dry, some bitterness towards the finish. Light body, medium finish, light acidity, bit of carbonation. Pretty good.

Another beer smuggled in the fake compartment under my newborn sonís car seat across the boarder from Premier in Buffalo. Pours a murky gold with a stupid amount of dense white head, which seems fairly common with sours. Nose of laco sours happiness, grapes and soft malts. Taste is really well balanced yeasty saison soft malt with laco sourness that when done right is awesome. Which this beer is. Grapes, soft malts, grassy yeast, mild grapey sour zing. Nice.

Pours a hazy pale orange with a white head. Medium to light body. Smells like sour lemons and yeast. At the front there is lots of spiciness and yeast, middle if the mouth is fruity with mostly citrus and a little sweet fruits and at the back it is a sour fruit and salty finish. Overall pretty good but wanted more fruity sourness.

12.68 oz bottle purchased from Mile High. This is a pale yellow with a cloudy body, vigorous carbonation and an absurdly huge white head which forms tall shapes like terrain. The aroma is pleasantly funky with notes of lemon, barnyard, pepper, cheese, and straw. The tartness really comes out in the flavor, giving this a refreshing lemon note. What a harmonious and drinkable beer. Itís so complex with suggestions of pineapple, hay, wool, pepper, earthy hops. Another world-class offering from Jolly Pumpkin.

Bottle 375mL. Very little head, pale yellow colour. Sour and spicy aroma of yeasts. Tarty taste of yeasts and spicy hop-flavour let me feel salty a little. Finishes dry flavour of hops and yeasts.

750 mL bottle poured into a goblet. A slightly hazy straw colored body with a huge, three-fingered white head. Very nice. The head never fully receeds, leaving a nice layer of foam on the glass. Only a little bit of foam clings to the glass. A bit funky. Yeasty smells, which I expect, but lemony and grassy aromas dominate. It has a bit of a tart nose to it as well. Bright tart flavor. Not overly tart, just a bit of a lemon tang. Grassy and yeast flavors are underneath, but itís the lemon tang thatís most prominent. Finishes with a sustained bitterness that I find to be a bit out of place. Light bodied and very well carbonated. It goes down so easily and at 4.5%, I could drink this all day long. Interesting saison. I love the tartness and I love the funk.

Sampled at Churchkey, pours a mostly clear gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose has candy, straw, some wood shavings, a touch buttery, some apricot, a little cheese rind. Flavor is solid, mildly sweet, some buttered biscuit, straw, light lemon, some chrysanthemum tea. Medium bodied, astringent but refreshing finish. An old stand by.
