COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Pours cloudy pale orange with a lasting white head, good lacing. Nice mild aroma with light funkiness, grains, and dried fruit. Taste is full of citrus and wheat, a small touch of sourness and balanced yeast. Solid hop bittering. Body is frothy, creamy. I’m always impressed by this brewery. Very solid beer.

Bottle, #494. Pours clear light golden with an enormous creamy head. Aroma is sour and fruity yeast, with lemon peel and hay, as well as some hoppy notes of grass and apricot. Creamy body with a rather soft but mouth filling carbonation. Flavour is tart and acidic with a fruity yeast, as well as apples, hay, apple cider vinegar and some peachy hops. Finishes off with a long tart and yeasty apple cider vinegar.

On draft at Pizza Paradiso. Hazy gold with slight white head and ample lacing. Funky Brett nose with fruit and spice on the palate. A tart dry finish, very nice...

hazy golden orange with a medium head. Funky, bretty aroma with some mellow hops and Belgian yeast. Flavor is slightly tart, with a dry finish. Has a musty, slightly acidic character to it. Nice and dry.

Bottle at Les Caves, Corvallis. Pours a clear beige/orange, little to no white head, decent amount of lacing. Aroma slight, some estery spice notes. Body very lively, prickly even. Finish slightly tart, crisp.

bière d’été que j’ai malheureusement bu en automne. cette saison c’est la gatorade des bière, des arome florale de houblon bien entourer par la rondeur des levures de saison

Bottle from 2011. Pours an average whitehead that mostly diminishes. Body is sparkling clear light yellow. Aroma contains moderate malts (light bread, cookie, straw, caramel), light hops (flowers, grass, spruce, orange and lemon), light yeasts (horse blanket) and apple, cherry and melon. Flavor is acidic, then acidic and light sweet and finally acidic, light sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium with watery texture and soft carbonation. Refreshing and good for a warm summer day but a bit simple.

0.75l bottle shared with the tasting crew. This is a cloudy glowing yellow one with a small lacing white head. The aroma has that typical Jolly-aroma. Mild sour-ish and really refreshing! Lemons and apples perhaps, with some yeast and something reminding of wheat. It has a soft oily to watery texture in the mouth and it’s average carbonated. Flavors also have Jolly all over it. Lemons with bitter waxy lemon zest, something spicy - almost herbal, and also some orange zest. Quite a zesty-bitter one this. I found it tasty and refreshing. 16.06.2012

Draft. Light yeast notes and plenty of carbonation in this one. It didn’t have a ton of complexity on the palate or the signature JP funk I was expecting, but this is the first time I’ve had one on draft. The flavor had light fruit and spice and the finish was dry and quite bitter. A refreshing beer I will certainly try again.

Bottle from 2012 in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, tartness, pale malts, some light fruits, and some floral hops. Flavor the same with a nice blend of it all. Average texture. A pretty good saison.
