Commercial Description:
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Aroma: some light sourness, hay/grass, flowers, coriander, and light honey
Appearance: murky yellow, small, white head, some lacing
Flavor: light sourness, hay and grass, sweet flowers--roses?
Palate: thin--but not too thin, slightly soapy, pleasant grassy aftertaste
Overall: yummy!

Complete with J.P.’s trademark 5 minute gush. After things settled down there was a frothy foam left atop a very cloudy brown orange body. The aroma is earthy funk and moldy orange peels with hints of sweet clementine oranges. The flavor has that same dirty orange peel taste followed by just enough citrus to balance out the finish.

Pours a hazy yellow orange color with an enormous white fluffy head. Aroma is peppery with strong sour lemon lime hints. Taste is zesty lemony with strong lime and orange peel overtones. Has a nice spicy peppery feel to it. Very good.

12oz. bottle thanks to Mullman. Hazy golden color with a large white head. Yeasty, citrusy aroma with some fresh cut grass thrown in as well. Flavor pretty much mirrored the aroma but was much drier than expected. Very good.

Pours out a golden/straw color with a moderated thin bodied white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast and slight spice. Refreshing mouthfeel, similar in body to a light gin and tonic. Spice, yeast, citrus, malts and slight hop bitterness. Would like to pick up a case of this for the summer, great summer beer.

Thanks to Ucusty for this bottle. Pours a cloudy straw color, slightly burnt orange, big fluffy white head. Aroma is definitely funky, as expected from JP: hay, grass, malt vinegar, mustard, a bit of wet dog, pepper. Earthy grassy flavor, extremely dry and peppery, quite a sour bite, but it’s a bitter dry and earthy sour. Big dryness and pepper flavor in the back. Light mouthfeel, well-carbonated, but not out of place. Pretty good stuff overall, but a little too dry for me.

My first beer from my first beer festival, was a great way to start. Cloudy dark yellow body, with white head. Sweet yeasty aormas. Has a tart fruity flavour of apple and slightly yeasty. Has a slight bitterness on the finish that wasnt overpower which I enjoyed. I bought a few bottles of this to take home!!!

Draught @ Brew Kettle: Pours a cloudy copper orange, tiny white head. First flavors are orange and other light citrus, followed with a very carbonated and slight spicy bite to the tongue this is very crisp. When I think of funky this is the style I’m looking for, I love the different phenolic sour and spicy flavors the yeast gives off. The citrus stays the whole time and the hops are there but blending with the funkiness and just making this a wild beer that taste great.
