kyzr (909), Bozeman, Montana, USA Mar 30, 2008 Hazy deep gold with big white head. Spicy hoppy nose, watch the head, can come up and bite you when taking a whiff. Flavor has all sorts of spice with a bite from the hops. Has a little sourness to it, which makes it very interesting. I really can’t belive all the carbination this thing has. Nice finish that keeps you thinking of all the spice.
Skinnyviking (2599), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 19, 2008 Bottle. High fluffy but long lasting white head. Slightly hazy light yellow body. Spicy and malty aroma that I cannot quire figure out. Coriander, nutmeg, lemon flavor with a dry hoppiness. Low carbonation and a long spicy aftertaste. matt7215 (540), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Aug 17, 2008 12 oz bottle from premier gourmet. pours hazy golden with off white head. aromas are zesty sour funk with some peppery notes. the flavours are similar with the addition of some light hopping. very nice but the pepper lingers in your thoat a bit which prevent this from getting a 5 in palatability. very nice session saison. jgentgesdo (532), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours cloudy yellow with a heavy white head. Nose is yeasty and peppery. The flavor is funky yeast and horseblanket flavors, spicy yeast, and floral hops. Rather watery mouthfeel. Pretty good. IPAndy (119), minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Aug 14, 2008 Awesome pour- cloudy orange with a huge puff of head, almost like a scoop of ice cream on top. Aroma is cidery with some attic/closet smell. Flavor is tart, apple cider, yeast. Finishes tart and a little spicy. Indra (1826), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Aug 13, 2008 750ml bottle, Batch 264. Wonderfully spicy, yeasty nose, malty and fruity with notes of lemongrass, pepper, pale malt grains, dough, clove and plenty of farmhouse funk. Cloudy medium golden in color with a lasting, thick cap of white foam. Flavor is mildly bitter and citric to start, turning maltier and fruity before a gently tart, spicy, refreshing and lightly herbal finish. Sharp and active on the palate, dry and slightly acidic throughout with a light-medium body. A wide variety of subtle nuances seem to appear over a period of time, revealing a complex and tasty but very easy-going rendition of the style.
