3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. The pour was a murky medium golden orange with an average (1-2 finger) white frothy head that diminished down to a thin cap with a small collar and had some good sheets of streaky lacing.
The aroma was of a light grain malt, a mild floral hop and a funky barnyard Brett yeast with notes of green apple, citrus (orange), white wine, a mild peppery spice and a slight tartness.
The taste had a decent tartness and a slight fruity sweetness with a hint of green apple and a mild wine presence early on, then become very sour with a mild citrus sweetness, a strong funky yeast taste and a mild bitter peppery ending. The flavor lasted and average time proceeding the swallow with a tart citrus peel bitter taste left behind.
Mouthfeel was light in body with a dry, watery texture and a fizzy carbonation.
Overall a satisfying sweetly-tart Farmhouse Ale with a strong bitter presence and a nice spicy finish...

Jolly Pumpkin is new to my space of the world and Bam Biere seemed like a damn fine place to start. And it was. Golden and sudsy pour with just a little sediment. Floral, yeasty, and fruity aromas - a big, zesty orange peel note. Flavors are pure Belgian-style Saison. Lemon, orange, and other tropical fruits. White bread, coriander, flowers, and lightly earthy funk. The feel is bright, semi-dry, lively, and tart. It’s hugely refreshing. As a kid, Wishbone was my favorite Jack Russell. Bam just surpassed him.

Jolly Pumpkin Bam Bière has a lot of complexity going on. Hazy orange pour with a contrasting white head. Nose is fruity and funky. Taste cycles from fruity, to funky, to tart and then dry on the backend. Very interesting! Bam Bière is one refreshing beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a rather pale yellow to orange body with a huge, egg white head that laces the glass very well. The head is very long-lived and settles as a fully lasting layer of foam. Funky and strong aroma with notes of tart fruits and lemon, with slightly fermented apples in the back. Strong flavour that follows the barnyard feel of the aroma, with the same tart citric notes and even more apple. Quite acidic taste. Light, dry and lively carbonated. A crisp and refreshing beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Une très belle saison, tout en fruit et en fraîcheur sur un nez finement acidulé qui évoque les fleurs de sureau et une bouche tendue, équilibrée et harmonieuse. Idéale sur les os à moelle. Un régal.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2016 Aroma is really nice. Tart, dusty barnyard, dry, a definite hop presence, spices, I like. Appearance is golden with slight amber, hazy, white head. Taste is tart, dry, barnyard, citrus, bitter hoppiness, spices, very good. Mouthfeel is medium body, light crisp carbonation, dry barnyard aftertaste. Overall, this is very very well done.
