2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
750 to chalice. Pours golden and cloudy with a short lived head. Saison hops and lemony. Not a great farm house, a little too light and is missing that saison punch.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY. I’ve had this before but somehow never rated it. The variant at Blue Monk was actually Weizen Bam Biere, which I’d never had before. Really a nice saison, as always from JP. I liked the little bit of sweetness imparted by the wheat base. Solid.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma of sour fermenting fallen crab apples in the fall and hay. Appears hazy yellow, white foam and lace. Taste is very mild, sour like a Berlinerweise, some pineapple, mildly bitter pomegranate seed. Palate is mildly fizzy. Overall, a beer yo can drink all day in hot weather.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Farmhouse funk, citrus and spice comprise the nose while a hazy yellow pour with a quickly dissipating voluminous white head provides abundant lacing. The taste is short, spicy, citrus and crisp. Light body and crisp carbonation. Dry finish. Overall, refreshing, crisp, and slightly hoppy.

"a YEASTY SPICY AND CITRUS TINGED BREW. Adequately sour, has the JP house flavor and aroma. Murky as all hell and a bit explosive, but I enjoyed the 20-22 oz that were left in the botle after :) Next time I’ll open over the glass."

750ml Bottle shared at the Midlands meeting on 23rd Aug 2014, cheers Tom. Hazy pour with a thin head. No horse blankets but plenty of farmyard aromas along with some citrus notes. The taste is similar but with a mild peppery and spicy feel within the flavours, there is also a sourness from those citrusy hints in the nose: my first beer from Jolly Pumpkin and hopefully not my last.
