Pours hazy mahogany (or very dark amber) with a huge frothy light-beige head. Intense lacing. Aroma is of bretts, soap, mangos, weird vanilla. Taste is of bretts, fruits, bitterness, soap. Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Nothing stellar.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a medium brown with a high and foamy offwhite/dirty head that leaves moderate lacing. Nose is of brett and roasted malt, not really enticing. Taste is of roasted malt, husky and tartness is really low. Body was medium, carbonation medium-high and I thought it wasn’t too tasty (unlike your usual Jolly Pumpkin). Overall an OK beer but not much more.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (750 ml) bought @ Winooski Beverage Warehouse. Split with the Québec crew.
Appearance: Clear copper / light brown with a huge bubbly off-white head leaving good lacing.
Aroma: Mild roasted malts along brettanomyces, hints of red fruits, lemony notes and a tiny bit of oak.
Taste: Light roasted malt presence along brettanomyces, light herbal notes, a touch of oak, mild fruitiness and mild lemony presence.
Palate: Light body. Medium carbonation. Foamy/areated mouthfeel and a bit watery. Moderately dry finish.
Overall: Not really complex (the low abv Jolly Pumpkin are usually at least a little more deep than this one). Easily drinkable, but it’s still way more without the roasted malts (regular Bam Biere). Decent / good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! pours hazy/cloudy very light brown orange with a rocky and almost dirty beige head, good retention and strong lacing. cherry brettiness, some leather, lightly buttery barrels, lemony, zesty saizohn-ish and quite spicy too, bitter herbs and pepper. lively/foamy carbonation, light body - watery; lightly tart and astringent, dry woodsy-grassy-spicy finish. o-k.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Appearance: Clear brown with deep orange and ruby highlights, with a small white foam cap.
Aroma: Lactic acid dominates the aroma with a slight hint of toasted malt.
Taste: Very little malt character, as the lactic acid overruns the flavor, with hints of lemon and apple. Tart acidity is strong but pleasant. Very one dimensional taste.
Mouthfeel: Light and thin, with moderate carbonation.
Finish: A bracing acidity and tartness with no apparent maltiness.
Overall: Very similar to Weizen Bam in that the beer is very one dimensional with the lactic acid dominating the flavor profile, with no definitive malt profile. While I like the pleasant acidity of JP beers, there seems to be no differentiation between beers because the malt profile is nonexistent.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap pours a hazelnut brown with tall near khaki foam. A pleasant funky Belgian sour aroma. While the nose was great the flavor leaves a lot to be desired. Light all around, dark malts leave a roasted bitterness, the funky near Flanders red aroma never really shows much of any sourness. It’s enjoyable but overall a very mild Belgian brown ale with wheat.
