One of Bam's brown eyes is, in fact, black. When mischief reigns supreme, it positively glows. Dedicated to the dark side; smooth, dark, incredibly delicious as only a Jack Russell with bat wings can be.

Bottle. Papsoes MadsBerg homecoming blindtasting, bottle #4. Pours hazy golden orange to brown with a lacing slight tan head. Mild woody and slight spiced aroma, mild berry fruity. Flavour is woody, light acidic and spiced. Roasted to smoked flavour. Holds what seems to be a light brett note yet quite dry and not citric. Ends mild spiced and woody.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, citrus, spices, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, roasted malt, brettanomyces, spices, and berries, leading to a somewhat tart finish. Thanks to my secret well-do’er in Hood RIver.

Bottled@omhper (thanks hanniku!). Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is spicy, quite sour and also has some mild caramelly notes. Flavour is quite spicy, a bit brettlike sourness, berries and quite rich on the hops as well. Spicy and quite strange.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of SoLan/tertons. Pours a clear orangey brown with a tall and lively off-white head leaving some lacework. Refreshingly light Brett aroma. Light in body with dry woody accents, a vague fruitiness and a dry and lightly astringent finish. Quite refreshing. 190608

13th April 2008 Dark beer with lightly toated and a nice sourness that reminded me of Duchesse Du Bourgogne. The marriage of the two works well.

Bottle courtesy of Greg at Birreria Paradiso. Batch 340 of 341. Pours dark clear brown with a light tan head. Brett aroma with a gradually appearing sour grapes flavor. Very dry, nicely must. Very nice indeed, subtler than its Belgian cousins.
