Bottled. Nose of chocolate and spice cookies. Cloudy brown-orange color with a huge airy head. Dry, bready flavor, chocolate, caramel, spices, grass. dry, light, interesting, yet not completely convincing. No where near as good as the blonde version.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
At common table on cask with my mom. Pours murky brown with almond, no head. Aroma is woody horsey barnyard. Taste is oakie, hint of tannic notes. Some almost funky tart, dark farmhouse is a good description. Light and thin but not necessarily drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is an opaque, deep amber beer with a dense white head. The aroma is highly acidic but the flavor quite full and mellow like dominant notes of chocolate player on a peppery lemon cello. The palate is so full of fizz-induced foam it makes it hard to reorder.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 75cl. Batch 22. Opens with a bang, but it’s no gusher. It pours an auburn, hazy body and a big, creamy, off-white head that collapses into finger-thick height. The aroma is sort of reminiscent of strawberries at first, but then there’s roasted malts, some prune hints and a good dash of funk. It is quite effervescent on the palate, dry and perhaps a bit thin. There’s orange zest, leather, roasted malts and dried fruits in the flavor, almost no sweetness. Lasting light roasted, funky and citrus peel-ish finish. Too carbonated this one, but it’s quenching and tasteful anyway. 140622

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Wilbur’s. Appearance: 3 fingers slightly off-white head, copper/amber color, cloudy, ok lacing. Aroma: grapes, molasses, light pine, light other fruitiness. Palate: light body, soft carbonation, dry and bitter finish, thin, almost watery texture, but in a good way. Taste: sweet fruit and very slightly tart, with a nice little piney bitterness taking over on the end. Overall, super unique, very very drinkable, and just pleasant.
