Huge gusher upon opening, hopefully there was some left to be split 2-way. Pours murky brown with a nice and creamy white head. Smell is semi-funky with a hint of sourness detected. Nothing I could clearly point out as coming from the rose or hibiscus but still a bit of perfume here and there. Taste is mildly tart and fruity. Flavors are reminescent of La Roja but maybe a little subdued. A really nice saison still, a mighty fine one I would say!

A hazy rose tinted copper color with a off white head with a pink tinge. Nice head retention and lacing. Aroma is a bit tart with light fruit and floral flavors. Taste is light fruit with mild tartness. Some grape skin and a gentle floral bitterness at the end. A bit of woodiness. Very dry finish. Watery mouthfeel with a thin body and moderate carbonation. Nicely blended flavors and very easy drinking.

2014 bottle to a snifter. Pours a rosey copper color with a persistent, fizzy white head. Aroma is apple and tart cherry. Taste has almost no tartness. Flowery and a little woody with a little grape. Very dry with a flowery bitterness. Watery, carbonated mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

jahshuwuh (304) - USA - APR 13, 2014
A rose tinted brown with finger of white bubbly head. Smells of sweet flower, apple, pear, funk, barnyard. A slight tart at first with some fruit like sweetness, some floral notes, dry. A little woodiness and a tea like taste at the end and the slight funkiness of a saison. Not bad but floral notes don't mesh perfectly the tart. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle. We got a gusher!! About 8 oz. ended up on the table and floor. Hazy pink color, with massive head retention. Aroma is all flowers and roast petals. Soap.

Flavor shows a sickly amount of hibiscus, rose petals, subtle barrel notes and old Belgian yeast. Light body with a huge lively mouthfeel due to the over carbonation/ infection. Perhaps if you like drinking dead flowers, you will really enjoy this beer. Entirely to much dead flowers.

Bottled. Pours hazy deep golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of brett, yeast, wood and fruity notes and mild phenolic. Sweet/sour flavor that ends up dry and acidic. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. A very nice and tasty Saison.

Blood orange color with 3 finger head. Nose of sour tropical fruit. Taste has grapefruit, orange, light malts, white wine, slightly sour grapes. Finishes with a grapefruit bitter kick, dry and quick. Refreshing.

Batch 58 Bottled 05-16-2013. Not going to lie this bottle basically exploded with foam when opened, and it didn't stop foaming for about 5 minutes while pouring. I think the excessive foaming caused a but of an issue with the taste. This ale smells beautiful with rose notes and a bit of funk. The taste was flat but nice biscuity roses flavors. Maybe something was up with batch, but it has the feel of a potentially great saison just flat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark orange with a huge heag that is gone rather quickly. Not sure my palate can detect rose bud or hibiscus but regardless it is delicous.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a cloudy ruby with a nice thick fine white head. Great looking beer. Nice aroma of flowers, grapes, herbs, dark fruit. Taste is not overly sour which is probably why I like it since I'm not a sour fan. Flavors of flowers, hibiscus, herbs, vinous, grapes. Crisp effervescent sour tastes on the mouth. Medium bodied. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated on 8-21-2010 at Fort Wayne, IN Gathering. This bottled beer has a small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, transparent amber body, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aromas are funky, floral, sour, and tart. The taste is sweet, floral, funky, fruity, and tart. The palate is soft carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer smells more sour than it tastes which is a good thing for those of us who do not particularly care for sour tasting beers. This beer is worth trying.
