Biere de Goord, a saison brewed with kale, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin and green tea, was created by Jolly Pumpkin to help raise awareness about prostate cancer and generate funds for the Pints for Prostates campaign. The beer was aged in oak and bottle conditioned. This is an extremely limited edition beer brewed to mark National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September. Besides the Denver Rare Beer Tasting, the only way to taste this beer is to order it through The Rare Beer of the Month Club or visit one of the Jolly Pumpkin locations in Michigan.

Thanks to Redlight for cracking this beauty. Hazy gold pour with thick white head. Huge sour apple, pumpkin, pepper aroma. Tart light malt body with hints of pumpkin and pepper. My prostate feels better already.

Bottle shared by craytonic. Thanks Matt! The beer is hazy and orange, with a finger of dense, white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. The aroma offers some funky citrus, with some lemon zest and subtle spice. Lots of citrus and funk in the flavor. Delicious Brett character. Quite good. Very drinkable. Smooth on the palate, with a pleasant lingering aftertaste. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-08-2011

Pours murky deep yellow amber with a grayish white head. Aroma brings some soft mint and floral notes, suggestions of lavender. Flavor brings a tart balanced dryness with dry lemony tang ending, nice herbal notes from the healthy additions.

Bottle shared by Turdferguson. Cheers, Sam. Pours a bright cloudy golden with lovely and large white head. Aroma is Jolly Pumpkin-esque. Lemony and bright. Taste is tart, with wood and earth notes and citrus rind. The kale is actually present and pretty good. Very interesting.

Pour is bright hazed orangey yellow with a thin, sticky and bright white head...smell is sweet and fruity at first...sweet with grapes, apples, pears...then some wonderful wood and Jolly Pumpkin deliciousness...nice funky notes...the taste...well, it is as if this was a wonderful collaboration between JP and Fantome...very earthy and herbal at first with leaves, horseblanket, and earth...then a lightly bitter grapeskin then fantastic light sour funk...lingeringly earthy funky finish...very well done...I didn’t get any pumpkin really...

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye ! Pours a hazy yellow golden color with two fingers of thick white foamy fizz. This beer rides the line of weird and strange and delicious. Lots going on from vegetal barnyard soaked musky oak to bright lemon, stonefruit and tart funk. Really interesting balance...hard to wrap your head around. Pepper, twig tea, some pumpkin roundness...Mouthfeel is perfection with great tiny bubble carbonation that fizzes the finish out into something special.

Thanks to deyholla for this sample at DLD11. Yellow white pour. Earthy wheat aroma funky and interesting in the way that JP does so well. Citrus wheat flavors light some sour earthy flavors. More subtle than I expected. Bitter fresh finish. Decent beer. 7/3/8/4/15

Courtesy of mibirder. Cloudy yellow, minimal white head. Aroma has nice lacto sour up front, hints of pils malt and light floral/citrus character. Flavor much the same, really nice combo of floral/citrus, don’t really get any goord, dig it none the less. Highly carbonated, great mouthfeel. Thanks Sean! Much appreciated.
