A sustaining beer that is brewed to comfort in the gusty ides of March and welcome in a wealth of warmer weather.

This is not at all what I expected from what was written as an oak barrel aged "... sustaining beer brewed to comfort in the gusty ides of March ...". Tastes like ale mixed with hard cider. This beer belongs to Autumn and is for those who revel in sour brews. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Delicious sour. Malt and brown sugar give some balance to lime acidity. Stays constant through a lingering finish.

Cloudy burnt amber, ringed head. Rich tangy ester, pear and grapefruit. Terse sour. Dense tang. Failing carbonation, bit yeasty oak dryness. Burnt sweetness. Supping soft carbonation but buzzing, sticky mouthfeel. Purdy gud.

Reddish brown with a smooth film of cream colored foam. Fruit and malt on the nose. Medium body is smooth. Slightly tart. Red fruit and toasted malts lead into a sweet finish.

Draft. Murky medium brownish amber. Small wispy head. Moderate tartness with a good zing. Fuller Light body. Nice fruitiness. Berry. Nice yeasty. Brett. A little dusty, woody. Mild dryness. Not as Brett dominated as other JP beers and one of my favorite JP beers overall. Really good. Comes together really well. Liked it a lot.
