May 19, 2007 Updated: May 22, 2007Courtesy boboski. Murky amber color with a thin soapy head, sharp fruity funk aroma, some cherry, apricot, a very pleasant smell. Taste has a nice sharp twinge to start which yields to a fruity middle. Finish is tart and slightly spicy. Another unique JP brew.

May 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours dark bubbly ruby orange, off white head. Aroma is funky, musty, tangy bleu cheese, slightly peppery. Flavor is pepper, salami, and tangy bleu cheese. Lacks a certain complexity yet is pleasurable to drink, if but a bit one-sided.

May 17, 2007 Slightly cloudy deep amber, slight off-white head. Aroma is funky with some brett, slightly fruity. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Flavor is tart, some tannins, astringent and wine-like.

May 16, 2007 Large frothy light tan head. Cloudy and somewhat dark rust colored body. Sweet and soured bananas with a funk in the aroma. Taste is an aged sweet caramelly malt blanketed with some bretty lemon sourness. Leaves a drying stale character in the mouth after a minute. Really good and full of flavor. Great sour balance and creamy mouthfeel.

May 16, 2007 Light fruit and a well balanced sourness stand out in the aroma.Pours a medium murky copper with a very long lasting off white head.Flavor is dominated by some brett,some slight wood and a nice sourness.Full mouthfeel with a nice sour finish.

May 14, 2007 Amber pour with a nice looking white head that retains nicely Aroma is spicy with some sourness and apple. Taste is nicely carbonated making it seem fuller than it really is. Malty middle leading quickly to a tart, bitter finish. There is quite a long finish where I picked up some oak, yeast and dried fruit. Slightly acidic. Pretty good.

May 13, 2007 I really enjoy the Jolly Pumpkin beers, but as I’ve stated before they kinda taste the same, this repeats that. Light sourness, high carbonation, dry, earhty, spicy and crisp. Nice oak flavor that amplifies the dry character. Really enjoyable as always.
