Blend 2 Bottled 2/24/10
Tasted on 9/17/13 from a capped 750mL bottle that has been in the cellar for quite some time. Pours dark, opaque, mahogany with an average white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is very tart with tons of lemon acidity, white wine vinegar, a touch of burnt rubber funk, and just a light hint of the caramel malt that is obviously providing the darkness of this beer. The flavor is extremely sour and tart with tons of lemon, wine vinegar (very vinous), a nice touch of vanilla oak, and a very nice caramel malt underlying. The body is medium with a woody, tannic texture, lively carbonation, and a long, super sour and vinous finish. This beer with age is otherworldly.

Clouded brown with a red tint. Sticky head. Sour aroma and very sour flavor with notes of citrus fruit with a cool, light body. Well made. Good balance and very easy to continually enjoy.

Tap at Vinsetta’s garage. Pours hazy copper, off white head. Aroma is fig, dark cherry, oak, sour funk. Amazing. Flavor is dark cherries, sour funk, fig, some. Toffee, slightly woody. It has a lot going on. A hop bitterness in the finish. Awesome.

Lilja (2493) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAR 6, 2016
Ölföreningen 2015. Flaska, 2012 vintage. Smak och doft av trä, körsbär, ek, jord, toner av hallon och frysta jordgubbar, karamell med toner av vinäger. Fruktig, något syrlig, stor sötma, bra balans mellan smakerna. Mycket gott!

Cloudy amber color with no head. Aroma of hazelnut, a bit sour and fruity, nice apricot profile. Sour and fruity, with nice astringency, and mild funky touch.
Very good.

Vignale (2983) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2015
Flaska från demolenbeershop drucken med ölgörningen. 2012 vintage.

Bottle from Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is mild musty things, animal horns, stone fruits, dried apricots, underripe cherries. Taste is tart underripe cherries, fermented strawberries / stone fruits and bone dry, oakiness. The pre-cursor to all things Prairie Artisan Ales but not as wild.

bottle. Golden with two finger head. All the big JP sour funk you’d expect. Base beer has a lightly bitter oakiness. Wonderfully complex and delicious.

750 ml bottle shared by Bruce. Murky deep amber with a fair off-white head. Tangy and funky, fruity, a lightly smoky note, light wood, bread, bread crust, a touch spicy.
