Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Pours hazy yellow, slightly pale. bit, bubbly, white head. Aroma is nice, good coriander, some oaky tartness and wheat. Not as sweet as many other wits. Rather dry mouthfeel - not impressive in fullness. Flavour is lightly sweet, light fruitiness, good oranges. There still remains some oakiness throughout. This is a good wit, but nowhere near the best Belgian ones.

tasting at keg and barrel, I seem to be drawn to JP beers, b/c I find that they are all solid brews. I’m not a huge fan of wits, but this was extremly nice. typical smell, grassy cloves etc.. taste was tart with a banana aftertaste. carbination was awsome, not too heavey.

Batch 233,234. Pours cloudy straw color with off white head. Aromas of wheat, corriander and lots of JP funkiness. Flavors of wheat, lemon and some sourness. Light to medium body with lots of carbonation and a dry finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Huge dense fin bubble white head that really lasted. Excellent display of lacework. Cloudy pale yellow color with quite big particles in flow. I really enjoyed this one, and thought it was a very nice take on a Belgian White! Aroma was a mix of sour and complex fruity notes with a twist of spice. The orange peel and coriander was very present. Also grapefruit-lemon like over the palate. The spicy edge gave it a medium like body with a lively carbonation and dry texture. Moderated acidic and sweet flavor. Dry spicy grape like fruity finish. I really enjoyed this one!

Pours a very pale pils yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma is distinctly of sour funk and apples. Taste is faintly of pilsener, orange, and some spicing, but mostly of delicious sourness. Surprising amount of body for a sour and for such low alcohol. A little too bubbly, but that is to be expected, especially since I’ve been cellaring it for awhile. Nice dry, refreshing finish. Delicious, a very nice brew. Wish it were more available/cheaper.

Pours a light and somewhat cloudy with a nice firm layer of a head. Great lacing, thick and present. Sour apple aroma with some fresh peach. cherries, and apricots. The aroma is delightful and fragrant. Sweet cherry candy flavor upfront, followed by sour apricot with some raspberries and peach. Beautiful bouquet of flavor. Palate is smooth and well balanced, so interesting and easily drinkable. Wonderfully crafted, I throughly enjoyed it.

(Bottle) Pours hazy yellow to golden with white head. The aroma is citric and spicy up front with tones of lemon, mild lime, orange peel, coriander, ginger and mild white pepper. Light yeasty undertones of moldy basement and earthy barnyard. A touch of herbal hops and light toasted malt are also present. Just a whisper of oak wood. The flavour begins with a light toasted malt sweetness alongside some light grassy hops and a light acidic touch. The finish is dry with light coriander/ginger spiciness and a medium lemony/orange peel citric sting. The mouthfeel is light and clean without being too watery with perfect carbonation. Tiny tart. Light to medium bodied.

Bottle sampled on 09/26/08 at Night of the Funk. Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of sour wheat, slight citrus, and slight hoppiness. Flavor of the same sour wheat, Belgian yeast, with a super sour finish. Almost Berliner Weisse-like with the tart wheat notes. Tasty witbier!
