| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2007 12oz. Bottle: Aroma of spices, coriander, nutmeg, cinnamon, Dijon mustard, clove, and a little citrus. Poured yellow in color with a small white head that diminished quickly. Cloudy. Tons of floating particles, big and small. Flavor is lightly tart, lightly bitter, and lightly sweet. Tastes of lemon, coriander, clove, and wheat. Medium body. Dry texture. Soft carbonation. Dry, lemon finish. Overall, not very interesting. BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 15, 2007 On cask at the Happy Gnome. I suspect this has more to do with the method of serving than the beer itself. My pour was a water yellow with no wheat or spice in the nose, just the faintest sourness. The body was likewise watery with a little more wheat and spice but still underwhelming. BeerBlitz (49), Roslyn, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2007 12 oz. bottle poured into a standard pint glass. Another winner from Jolly Pumpkin! Nice pour with no foam explosion. Substantial creamy head that never got any thinner than 3/8". It looks like a pure white blanket protecting the beer below, not allowing you to see its goodness even when tilting the glass to drink. Looking at the glass from the side reveals a light straw colored beer, fairly fizzy, and only slightly cloudy. Rarely does a beer look so drinkable. Aroma is yeasty with some citrus. Taste is citrus up front, tart at the end, and yeasty and oaky throughout. Nice dry finish that leaves me wanting more. Nuffield (2749), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 13, 2007 Slightly hazy, rich yellow body with dense white foam. Sour front, bright spices, and a sense of oranges. The palate is disappointing hollow, slipping off my tongue and not leaving me pleased. Perhaps it is that it is too dry, as well. Anyway, it has some good qualities, but I think in a blind tasting I would rate this one much lower than quite a few others in this style. Bottle. undsioux7 (566), Cologne, Minnesota, USA

Aroma of wheat, citrus and a bit of spice. Nice funky cellar flavor to go along with the tart wheat and spice. Very light and good on a hot day. grimreeser (797), Minnesota, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Poured a golden yellow color with a thin white head. The aroma was of citrus fruits, some spices, and a little wheat as well. Definitely get the orange and coriander in the flavor with some wheat characters in there too. I don’t get much sourness in there like you would expect from JP. It was really easy drinking and full flavored for this style. It had a tart taste and a nice dry finish from the oak aging. Another really good beer from JP and nicely done for this style. I enjoyed this one a lot, it was really refreshing.
