JFURYCAT (706), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 27, 2008 From NEPA case split on 4-25-08 from Kevin. Elegant white with a nice sour leathery backbone and an amped up coriander spice content (to the point I expected to see some floating around). There is a floral ginger quality here but otherwise it doesn’t get any more complex. Highly carbonated and dry like cider but not thick or creamy.
phishpond417 (1386), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 This was one of those "just because it cost more, doesn’t make it incredible" buys. Pours a bright hazey golden orange colour with a full white, whip cream like head. Noticeable amount of sediment, aroma is fruity- orange peel like, corander seeds and fresh cut flowers. Mouthfeel is light, and somewhat silky. Taste is soft and wheaty, with a touch of spice, lemon zest and honey dew melon. The unfortunate thing is, it sort of resembled a sorgum wheat beer- and so that is what turned me off. However, since it is unpasteurized, it wouldn’t suprise me if this beer somehow got mixed up in the heat and cold of deliveries a few times too many. slimchill (616), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 19, 2008 Bottle (thanks Beerlando). Cloudy pale yellow, extremely carbonated with a big white head that laces nicely. Peachy-funk nose, some peppery notes. Starts out with a restrained brettanomyces profile that becomes more pronounced as it warms, but never overpowering. Light fruit esters and spices, some floral character. Refreshingly tart and musky without much depth. Soft mouthfeel that still engulfs the palate. Skinnyviking (2599), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 19, 2008 Bottle. High fluffy but long lasting white head. Hazy light yellow body. Lemon oranges aroma with herbal and hay notes. Lwmon, grapefruit, corander flavor, relatively acidic and far from being sweet. Hgh carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste. Pleasant surprise. Theis (2019), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 18, 2008 Bottle (Batch 285) - shared with Mette & Mikkel. Cloudy yellow - white head. Citrus, hoppy, light sour, yeasty, acid, fruity, spidersweb, dusty, sharpness, light wood. Ok. Angeloregon (1829), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle (750ml) from Belmont Station in Portland, OR--Poured a light soapy yellow-white body with a thick rocky white head. Spicy, fizzy, effervescent with some sharp hoppy citrus notes. First sip tingled as it passed my nose passage. Great mouthfeel with prickly complexities. Finished mildly tart and dry. On of the best Belgian wits I have had to date.
