COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve teamed up with Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales to create a special collaborative oak aged ale with plums, brewed to celebrate Plum Market’s 5 year anniversary. The special sour blend is aged on organic Royal Diamond plums; it’s an amber with a hint of roast, malty, sweet, and sour, and the delicate aroma and delicious flavor of more plums than you can shake a stick at.

750 ml bottle from secret santa. Thanks. Batch 976. Pours a murky dark amber color with a small white head that soon fizzes away to a fine ring. The aroma is tart with sour dark fruits and some light funk. The taste is complex with sour plums, sour grapes, oak, vanilla and caramel malts. The palate is on the lighter side and the carbonation is lively. Finishes medium in duration with lingering sour fruits. Overall: I kinda liked this, its on the subtle side, but that’s OK with me. A good sipper--Pair with Jarlsberg cheese and cashews

Pour from bottle. Semi cloudy amber pour, with an off white head. Lightly fruity, plums, lemon, mild sourness, some funk, malt, and toasty. Overall mild sour, not very flavorful, but still nice.

(750ml bottle, batch 976, Bottled: 03-16-2012) Pours a cloudy amber-brown body with a small white head. Aroma of plum, chocolate, light roastiness, and vinous. Flavor of plum, lemon, JP signature funkiness, minerals, caramel, and wood leading to a mildly bitter, dry finish.

750ml bottle shared by Ryan. Very mellow, restrained. Subtle malt backbone, mildplum and sour edges, some lemon. The sour fruit flavors meld together nicely. Not much of a head, oily residue. Orange marmalade thing going on. Easy drinking, quite enjoyable.

Hazy amber beer, little off white head. Light sour nose, some minerals. Light palate, dry and with mild carbonation. Llightly sour. Nice fruits - the plums are light and a little sour. Mild white wine vibe. Dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle. The pour is a light amber. The aroma is a light sour with some fruit. The taste is chalky and boring. Unimpressed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Was looking forward to this and was quite dissapointed. More prune then fresh plum flavor with heavy funk and a muddled roastyness and nuttyness that I dont really want. Comes off like an infected belgian quad.

Bottle from Jeff, I think. Thanks! Pours a deep amber with an offwhite head. Nose is pleasingly tart but the fruit is pretty absent. A hint of prune but mostly just standard Jolly Pumpkin. I think the brewery is basically putting out different colors of the same beers now. On tasting, crisp and clean overall, moderate tartness.

Pours an opaque amber with a medium off white head. Aroma has very nice sour notes...plum and oak are notable. Flavor is somewhat mild and lacks the aggressive sour that the aroma suggests...some light plum and oak but only a mild tartness with hints of dusty cellar and vanilla. Mouthfeel is light and a bit watery with a dry vinous plum/oak finish.
