COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bam is an extra special dog. After surviving being struck by a car, he daily somehow manages to avoid being carried away by the largish birds of prey gliding overhead, riding unseen thermals. Bam’s tenacity seems only to be surpassed by his oversized personality. Join us in this celebration of his excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.

750ml brown bottle. Batch 1037 & 1038, bottled 03/06/2012. Foam over upon uncapping. Dark gold, hazy, massive white bubbly head that never dies. Lace everywhere, foam everywhere, beer everywhere. Nose has funk, leathery and wild. Taste has big funkiness, malty with leathery and mildly earthy tones. Earthy hop fade out. Body is medium, well carbonated. A good brew, the ever foaming bottle was a bit problematic.

Pours a dark reddish amber. Sort of chunky. Has a thick light tan head that laced nicely. Aroma is a slight grainy funk, but not nearly what I expected. Flavor is a bit caramel sweet, but is balanced well with a peppery bitterness. Slight funk and caramel fruit. Body is light, but holds up with a tight carbonation. Finishes bitter and dry.

I feel like I liked the beer more than this rating, but it’s valid. It’s got a really effervescent carbonation and a dry farmhouse finish, but really not a ton of character it terms of taste. Almost like a saison that needs a little more punch.
