Commercial Description:
Bam is an extra special dog. After surviving being struck by a car, he daily somehow manages to avoid being carried away by the largish birds of prey gliding overhead, riding unseen thermals. Bam's tenacity seems only to be surpassed by his oversized personality. Join us in this celebration of his excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.

This beer once again reminds me why I love Jolly Pumpkin. Pours dark tawny brown with a sudsy light tan head. While the color is significantly darker than regular Bam the aroma is similar with funkiness, oak, spiciness, graininess, light hops and malt that seems toaster than regular Bam. Medium crisp grainy body with moderate carbonation. The taste has the traits on the aroma, but they are muted a bit due to some basement like funkiness in it. The mustiness does work for this beer. In the finish some hops are noticeable, but not nearly as much as expected for this being dry hopped. The finish is also dry, fruity and peppery. Excellent beer.
No change in numbers, just adding info. I have no idea how I missed the plethora of earthy hops. I guess I attributed them to something else. This is very hopped up, but not in a west coast sort of way, much more on the earthy British side. Still a great beer.

Bomber at Jerry’s. Dark caramel with big, foamy beige head / Floral, tart, apple nose / Medium body, fruity & lushly hoppy, with long, tart, bitter finish / Flavors of apples, dry hops, cherries, caramel, and coriander / A bitter? Only in the JP universe. Perfection.

Thanks to RagallachMC for the 750ml. Hazy orange/copper color with a large, foamy head and no gush (you gotta throw that in for J.P.). Aroma was standard J.P. brett, A bit of caramel and a lot of grassy hops. Very dry, crisp on the tongue. Very nice taste.

Caramel dark brown amber in color with a thin white head. Smell is sweet and a touch funky as well. Flavor is light and mild with a tiny hop presence and yet a touch more funk here too. Overall, decent just not as bold as I’d hoped for.

OMG - I think I’m in love. This beer is a perfect marriage of bretts and hops. Dry like a good saison should be, full of bretts like a good sour and full of hops like an IPA! Pours a copper with minimal head. Aroma is bretts and hops. Flavor is the acidic sourness from the yeast and hoppy bitterness from the hops. Floral hops abound in this one. I can taste notes of hay and grass, farmhouse, leafy autumn evenings and freshly mowed lawns.

750 provided by Dalekliz from her recent trip, thank you Liz, I’ve been looking for this for a while, not the style that intrigued me but the brewery’s style. Batch 267, 268. Pours dark amber with a 2 finger frothy smooth tan head. Nose is malty and sweet with some nice funk. The taste is very much a bitter with added JP funkyness. Damn this is a great beer, lots of character here.
