Commercial Description:
Bam is an extra special dog. After surviving being struck by a car, he daily somehow manages to avoid being carried away by the largish birds of prey gliding overhead, riding unseen thermals. Bam's tenacity seems only to be surpassed by his oversized personality. Join us in this celebration of his excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.

Pours a reddish copper. Hoppy nose, light funk, citrusy. The flavor is fairly citrusy, lightly waxy, some malt. Seems kind of mild and subdued. Not bad but I wanted more upfront.

750ml bottle @Joe’s NYC Gathering courtesy of beastiefan2k–pours a rocky light tan head with cloudy amber color. Aroma is spice hops, yeast, pepper. Taste is dry, champagne, spice hops, yeast, pepper. Good effervescence, quick finish.

Tap at Ashleys in Ann Arbor. Has the jolly pumpkin signature tartness. I wouldn’t call this one hoppy, because it has kind of fruity, but there was bitterness there. Smooth, easy to drink. Not your typical bitter in my opinion but good nonetheless.

Bottle from Belmont Station in PDX--Poured a rich amber-copper body with a small wispy off-white head. Nose of sour cherries and sweet, hoppy piquancies. Oaky, nutty, floral, complex and scrumptious with a distinct astringent finish. Very nice beer.

Pours a light hazy copper with a huge tan head and abundant lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, sour cherry, some oak, light duskiness. Flavor is roast, sour cherry, typical JP yeast, light oak and caramel. Medium body, dry finish.

750ml from Warehouse Beverage, Cleveland Heights. Yet another fine one from JP. This Bam is darker than its parent, but with the same musty aroma and big rocky head. It’s so dry, do delectable, with tons of fizz in it. There’s a good deal of pepper in there, but in this incarnation of Bam it’s rounded out by some lovely fruity flavors. Very distinct and enjoyable.
