Commercial Description:
Autumn Fire
Ale brewed with chestnut and spices
To catch a bit of soft radiance in each special bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malts lead smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to contemplate and enjoy!

2007 bottle. Nice golden-orange color with a pleasant, oaky aroma that features some pleasant sourness, spices, and citrus. Flavor has a nice citrus bite with a bit of bretty sourness that is well balanced with gentle spices, oak, and assorted fruits. Nice mouthfeel. This is a classic example of why JP rules!

Bottle. High creamy and long lasting off-white head. Hazy dark orange body with a lot of bubbles. Bitter sweett aroma of oranges grapefruit and hints of coriander. Flavor as indicated by the aroma, rather hoppy lemon grapefruit peach acidic with a bit of coriander. Low carbonation and a long aftertaste.

Poursa a dark and straw golden body with a long lasting white head. The nose is impressive complex with citrus-notes and various spices. Like the scient the flavour is also pretty complex but disapoints with no really finish but some bitterness. I taste ginger, tonicwater, aniseeds, grapefruits and cloves. Great mouthfeel due to the complexity. Nice one

Thanks to whomever brought this to the Backus Backdoor Bash! Pours an orange color. Full of Autumn spices and bitter orange flavors. Some peppery spice in there, too. Another good beer from Jolly Pumpkin.

Bottle: Pale orangish-yellow pour with a large, fluffy white head. Very pleasant nose on this...notes of lemon, pepper, oak, some acetic sourness and a bit of a christmas spiciness, though subtle. The distinguishable Jolly Pumpkin body and sourness hits with some very light oak tones and not much in the way of the spices. Good, solid brew.

Bottle. Light funky and fruity nose. Cloudy orange with a big thick bubbly white head. Nice lacing. Nice sourness but not much in the finish. A bit thin. Not on par with the depth and complexity I’ve come to expect from JP.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of spices, fruit, lots of Brett yeast, apples, pears, nutmeg, and a slight tartness. Poured copper/amber in color with a small to medium-sized, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Small particles throughout and some large particles as well. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of Brett yeast, funk, wood, nuts, spices, light grape, nutmeg, cinnamon, chestnut, vanilla, malts, and slight vegetables. Medium body. Smooth, tingly, then chalky texture. Lively carbonation. Funky, acidic, yeasty dry finish.
