Commercial Description:
Autumn Fire
Ale brewed with chestnut and spices
To catch a bit of soft radiance in each special bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malts lead smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to contemplate and enjoy!

Bottled. An unclear dark orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of citrus and coriander. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of citrus, but also with notes of peaches, leading to a dry and slightly bitter end.

Hazy amber hue, with a big frothy beige head, leaving laces, yeasty, fruity nose, with wild yeast brettanomyces note, red pepper spiciness, green apple sourness, faint wet oakiness, with a citrusy, spicy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, tart, flowery hop character, with a mild brettanomyces sharpness, toasted malt note, peppery spiciness, acidic grapefruit fruitiness, leading towards a malty, tart, floral leafiness and bitterness finish.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy amber body with a medium white head. Aroma of wood, herbs, spruce, cherry sourness, mustiness, and earthiness. Flavor is a sour funky delight with some woodiness and apple. Another superb Belgian from JP!

Clear amber, light brown in colour. Neat good sized white crown leaving decent lacing on glass.
Gently tartness, green apple, light hint of fruits ie. cherry.
Clean, short carbonation burst. Tart middle followed by fruity flavors. Sour, creamy finish.

Bottle from Dilly Deli. Poured clear brown color with an average fizzy brown head that mostly lasted with great lacing. Solid spicy tart citrus aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium spicy balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Complex standout beer.

The medicinal aroma of this ale took away from my enjoyment. Hazy brown with a large, good-lacing beige head, it smells of anise, oak, pepper, unripe sour cherries, and chewed mint leaves. There’s a slight sourness to the flavor that combines all the elements of the aroma, adds a quietly sweet malt, and has a touch of alcohol. Obviously well crafted, but this will probably be the only time that I will drink it.

Robe orange surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse en dentelle qui s’estompe. Arômes acidulés d’épices et de gomme balloune. Saveurs d’épices et de houblon amérisant.

Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with big white foamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is sour with some oak and some Brett character. Taste is quite sour and tart with some oak but really dominating by Brett yeast. While I enjoyed this American Wild Ale very much, I could not really feel any spices or chesnut as mentioned on the label since the Brett really took over. Body is light with some great carbonation. Another great JP beer that could serve very well as a session beer.
