Clear amber, light brown in colour. Neat good sized white crown leaving decent lacing on glass.
Gently tartness, green apple, light hint of fruits ie. cherry.
Clean, short carbonation burst. Tart middle followed by fruity flavors. Sour, creamy finish.
Tmoney99 (4652), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 11, 2007 Bottle from Dilly Deli. Poured clear brown color with an average fizzy brown head that mostly lasted with great lacing. Solid spicy tart citrus aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium spicy balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Complex standout beer. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Mar 10, 2007 The medicinal aroma of this ale took away from my enjoyment. Hazy brown with a large, good-lacing beige head, it smells of anise, oak, pepper, unripe sour cherries, and chewed mint leaves. There’s a slight sourness to the flavor that combines all the elements of the aroma, adds a quietly sweet malt, and has a touch of alcohol. Obviously well crafted, but this will probably be the only time that I will drink it.

Boutip (2333), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Mar 7, 2007 Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with big white foamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is sour with some oak and some Brett character. Taste is quite sour and tart with some oak but really dominating by Brett yeast. While I enjoyed this American Wild Ale very much, I could not really feel any spices or chesnut as mentioned on the label since the Brett really took over. Body is light with some great carbonation. Another great JP beer that could serve very well as a session beer. Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of perfume, wild sourness, cherries and spicy. Tastes sour with lemony elements. As the beer warms, caramel and peppery splashes emerge. Finishes of tarte cherries. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Feb 16, 2007 Bottle. Belgian strong qualities in the nose with some sourness. Beautiful dark cloudy amber. Equally beautiful, large, creamy off-whitehead with rising bubbles. Very lively carbonation. Reasonably well balanced with a hint of fruity sweetness. Enjoyable. Pretty enjoyable beer. A little too dry, sour and subtle. Somewhat one dimensional. Good at what it’s trying to be.
