Commercial Description:
Autumn Fire
Ale brewed with chestnut and spices
To catch a bit of soft radiance in each special bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malts lead smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to contemplate and enjoy!

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & blankboy - my bottle. Hazy orange-amber, moderate white head. Great aroma - spicy, funky & fruity. Soft mouthfeel. Loving the flavour - sour fruit, woody, roasty & nutty, with some slightly numbing clove notes in the finish. Not getting much chestnut, but it’s still very good stuff.

Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - GregClow’s bottle. Cloudy deep orange, decent foamy off-white head. Acidic funky sour aroma, tart citrus (lemon), oaky, very spicy and yeasty - intriguing. Taste follows the nose, but brings it all together - soft vanilla oak, sour citrus malt, fruit, yeast, very spicy in the finish - balanced and funky, very nice, like a mild barrel-aged gueuze. Thick body, slick, acidic, nicely carbonated, long balanced soft sour finish. I could drink a whole one of these no problem at all.

Pours amber with a patchy white head, fizzy, and some spotty lacing. Aroma is sour fruit (citrus, cherry, raspberry), water logged wood, malt (meal), yeast (dough) and an alcohol nose. Medium bitterness, tart sweetness, low acidity, malty wood flavor, hint of vinegar and tart cherries. Medium bodied and fizzy, dry palate.

Light brown with a few particulates, small head. Bold aroma, spicy and sour, pumpkin. Taste is sour and bitter up front. Light spiciness. Mild yeastiness. Finish is exceptionally clean. Body was a little too watery for me.

KSBF06: After fest party. Kind of appeared out of no where! Cool! Small offwhite head that was short lived. Hazy dark brown brew, slight red edging. Nose is light malts, nuts and yeast, a hint earthy, spicey. Body is medium, lightly carbonated and a touch coating on the palate. Light roasty flavors, caramel malts, woody, faint citrus and notes of anise. Finish is lightly sweet and tart. Would love to try again.

Thanks to BgBurdman for sharing this at the last Columbus tasting. The aroma is sour and some funky grass smells as well. The pour was a golden brown with a small head. Slightly sour taste with a good bit of yeast and some tangy flavors as well. The mouthfeel was light with ample carbonation.

Thanks to JohnC for sharing. Mostly just tart malty flavors, was not able to detect any benefit from barrel aging likely due to sourness that overpowered the whole experience.

Thanks to footbalm for this one I had high expectations for this beer and I was disappointed. First of all, I tasted neither chestnuts nor spices. In fact, it tasted simply like a sour beer.
