Autumn Fire
Ale brewed with chestnut and spices
To catch a bit of soft radiance in each special bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malts lead smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to contemplate and enjoy!

750ml bottle. Shared with friends over a game of Catan. Blend 4, bottled 10-08-2012. Somewhat hazy amber color. Thin white head. Couple loose bits of lace. Active-looking carbonation. Medium-plus body. Smooth, bright, sort of tingly lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Nice, citrusy, bretty flavor dominated the taste. Some spice. Don’t really get much chestnut... Little to none. Some darker malt, though. Hint of chocolate, and dark fruit. Nice tart taste. Light bitter, moderate spicy. Solid, bretty belgian ale.

750 ml bottle @ RIP camp.
Pours a dark copper colour with a white head. Aroma of tart berries, grains, citrus and some weak wort-like notes. Flavour of caramel malts, tart berries, citrus, mild floral bitterness, hay and gooseberry bush. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a tart berryish finish. Classic Jolly Pumpkin -style Belgian Ale, but this one has some unpleasant raw wort-like notes.

75 cl bottle @ RIP camp. Blend 2: bottled 10.04.2012
Aroma is sour and funky with earthy notes, urinal cake and some apricot. Flavour has urinal cake, fruity tones, apricot, earthy notes and hints of lactic acid. Also some spicy tones. Quite unusual but then again very typical JP beer.
