Autumn Fire
Ale brewed with chestnut and spices
To catch a bit of soft radiance in each special bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malts lead smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to contemplate and enjoy!

22oz bottle, blend 7, consumed at Little Serow DC with dinner. Pours a hazy amber with some soapy, white head. Nose has some pepper, some grains of paradise, blood orange, some crackers malt but also some lactic acid. Flavor has some cracker then a bright lemon juice, slightly vegetal, pulpy, some bitter greens. Bright, acetic finish.

Couleur : ambre clair, reflets oranges. Belle mousse assez fine.

Bottle. Mildy spiced with a deep maltiness (not sure if the chesnuts added to that feeling). Dry. Slightly sour.

Raffraichissante. Pas mauvaise!

Bottle to glass. Dark brownish amber pour with a thick white head. Nose is a bit funky and spicy and sweet. Taste is funky with spices. Oak aging provides nice smoothness in flavor and body.
