Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 24, 2007 Bottled. An unclear dark orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of citrus and coriander. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of citrus, but also with notes of peaches, leading to a dry and slightly bitter end. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 1, 2007 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Pours a hazy, amber golden with huge amouts of sediment and a lively, of-white head that leaves some lacing. Lightly tart Brett-aroma. Fairly light in body with lightly fruity notes and a whiff of...cinnamon?? There’s some Bretty accents present without making the beer sour as such. Dry, slightly leathery finish. Interesting - as most Jolly Pumpkins. 301107 omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 14, 2006 Bottled. Cloudy dark orange. Lightly acidic fruit aroma with medicinal notes. Dry and fruity with lively mouthfeel. Notes of melon and a light, lambic-like lactic acidity. Feels fresh and has a lot of complex flavours, but the medicinal notes are on the strong side. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 14, 2007 From bottle, no 17 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy orange with a collapsing head. Brett aroma, citric to acidic. Flavour is subdued sweet and with a classic brett flavour of acidic to citric notes. Quite nice. Finish holds a nice caramel sweetness beneath and smooth and controlled brett flavour. Mellow and nice. Far finish holds a mild woody tone. oh6gdx (8798), Vasa, Finland May 14, 2009 Bottled. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 18, 2006 Hazy amber colour. Fairly funky, oaky aroma. Spicy flavour, aggressively yeasty with light backing maltiness and a tart finish. Interesting but I’m not big on the aggressive yeastiness.
