Autumn Fire
Ale brewed with chestnut and spices
To catch a bit of soft radiance in each special bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malts lead smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to contemplate and enjoy!

75cl bottle at VV tasting, Odense. Batch 335. Pours amber orange with a small creamy white head. Nose is funky - barnyard, oak, brett and hops. Lively mouthfeel - close to spritzy. Dry and warm taste with hops, oak, brett and vanilla. A little tart & yeasty. Very nice and complex beer.

Bottle, 75cl. A dense, two-finger off-white head forms over a clear dark golden body. Pleasant aroma with fruity sourness, a spiced touch and some malty notes too. Itís medium to full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. The flavor has the same sourness, spices and a little maltyness. Pretty annoying spiced touch, I canít recognize it, but thereís some allspice and herbal notes. Woody hints too. Seems very simple at first, but itís really nice and tasteful. Sure a beer I could have again. And again. 140111

Bottled (Pikkulintu, 0,75 ltr). Hazy orange color, small off-white head. Very herbal, hayish, a bit perfumic nose. Sour, grapefruity, some tangerine peel, vanilla. Herbal-spicey cooking, weird beer. Itís like some Fantome saisons.

750 ml bottle, 2008, courtesy of ryan - thanks! Clear amber color, small fizzy white head. Aroma of slightly funky cream soda. Taste has black pepper, swet caramel, slightly bitter finish. Decent.

Hazy amber colour. Fairly funky, oaky aroma. Spicy flavour, aggressively yeasty with light backing maltiness and a tart finish. Interesting but Iím not big on the aggressive yeastiness.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy amber body with a medium white head. Aroma of wood, herbs, spruce, cherry sourness, mustiness, and earthiness. Flavor is a sour funky delight with some woodiness and apple. Another superb Belgian from JP!
