3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 AGAquino (654) - San Juan, PUERTO RICO - APR 2, 2013
At the Jolly Pumpkin Cafe & Brewery. Aromatic hops stand out, flavour is a balanced hop bitter and typical Jolly Pumpkin funky yeasts. Noticeably dry.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DrinkEmUpJones (935) - Georgia, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Clear yellow, no head. A weird nose...somewhere between medicinal and chemical. Sort of a soapy flavor on an otherwise clean palate. Not a fan.

On tap at the JP cafe in Ann Arbor. Sparse notes: clear yellow, grain mash, cereal, grain again, straw, soap, citrus, metallic, eh - 5.8

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mabel (5043) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2011
[4099-20111112] Tap. Strange cardboard house yeast aroma has almost a garage-like note. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter grainy malt flavour has a hint of the house yeast infused with orange punch. Medium body. Good, and great for a gluten-free, no wonder it’s been winning awards. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

Tap @ Jolly Pumpkin Ann Arbor. Slightly hazy, golden appearance with a white head. Somewhat spicy, piney hoppy aroma. Sweet pale malty, very spicy, sappy hoppy flavor.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jercraigs (6473) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 17, 2011
2011-11-12. Crisp golden yellow body with a nice white head and lace. 3+ Flavour is odd, grainy, bit different, mild bitterness grows in the finish with a light kiss of grass, and tropical fruit. Bit of chestnut like character? Unusual profile. 6+ Aroma is quite floral, fruity, lightly perfumey. 6+ Average palate. Interesting, just okay overall but probably the best gluten free beer I have had. On tap at Jolly Pumpkin Cafe, Ann Arbor
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 imaragingbull (494) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 13, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Aromas of nettles spice hops Grapefruit sour. Pours real clear, light yellow. Not much head. Complex, sour flavours - some hops and agave is apparent. Finishes agave crazy! Innovative unique beer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 auerbrau (2946) - Peace Dale, Rhode Island, USA - SEP 30, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Odd spice and earth aroma. Florally pungent. Flavors are odd and off-putting to me. Strong bitterness lacks any sugar backbone. These kitchen sink beers need more thought.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Brigadier (2230) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - SEP 29, 2011
On tap at brewpub
There were a number of very inviting taps at the Jolly Pumpkin Cafe. Eventually after a few samples I settled on this relaxed beer. I would have loved to try some of the others but time was short. If you want to start light order a pint of this.
Aroma / Appearance - The robust bronze body was decorated by a thick cottony head. Cotton candy, chestnuts, and mild spices spark the senses. The total impression is light and easy on the senses.
Flavor / Palate - Cotton candy, thyme, and yeast were a refreshing sensation. Dry chestnuts complement a soft finish along with nectarines. For a gluten free beer it was better than my expectations. This is one of those perfect session beers.
