3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewpub. Aromas of nettles spice hops Grapefruit sour. Pours real clear, light yellow. Not much head. Complex, sour flavours - some hops and agave is apparent. Finishes agave crazy! Innovative unique beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewpub. Odd spice and earth aroma. Florally pungent. Flavors are odd and off-putting to me. Strong bitterness lacks any sugar backbone. These kitchen sink beers need more thought.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at brewpub
There were a number of very inviting taps at the Jolly Pumpkin Cafe. Eventually after a few samples I settled on this relaxed beer. I would have loved to try some of the others but time was short. If you want to start light order a pint of this.
Aroma / Appearance - The robust bronze body was decorated by a thick cottony head. Cotton candy, chestnuts, and mild spices spark the senses. The total impression is light and easy on the senses.
Flavor / Palate - Cotton candy, thyme, and yeast were a refreshing sensation. Dry chestnuts complement a soft finish along with nectarines. For a gluten free beer it was better than my expectations. This is one of those perfect session beers.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Enjoyed on tap at JP Ann Arbour. Yellow coloured body is not exceptional. The carbonation is above average, it is a below average bodied beer. A ittle sour and sweet, though the hops are there.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Awesome ’alternative’ ale. You haven’t had an IPA with a hop profile like this. Crisp, slightly sour, complex, funky hop character. This brew terrifies the Newbie and seasoned beer kinda-sewer alike. Sophisticated ale that I savor on every trip to AA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
tap at Jolly Pumpkin Ann Arbor - Hopefully I’ve got the right beer and it’s not the gluten free sour of the same name. I think both brews are gluten free (this one was labeled as such). Pours clear golden with no head. It has an earthy hop aroma. The flavor is earthy with herbal hops. This medium bodied brew has a bitter, herbal rich finish. It’s very good especially for a gluten-free. I’d not had a good one of those before.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
It’s rare that I can’t finish a beer, but this one was definitely not my thing. The brett and bitterness from the hops created an astringent mess that I couldn’t even finish a sample glass of.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Apr 24, tap @ Jolly Pumpkin, Ann Arbor. Pours clear pale golden with minimal white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, fresh; quite light. Crispy hoppy mouthfeel. Very bitter hoppy, fruity flavor; excellent IPA. Bitter fruity palate. Finishes with an odd fruity and soapy bitter tart longlived aftertaste.

On tap at Jolly Pumpkin. Very floral and earthy. Probably my favourite sampled at the bar. I could drink a lot of it.
