I forget who sent me this...thanks. Pours with more foam than expected. A beautiful beer, woody looking red at the bottom, fading up into a mury light brown with a hint of red. Aroma of rich, spiced caramel. Boozy ripe fruits and oak add nicely. Slghtly less than moderately sour flavor, muddled fruits and some spice. Vanilla and oak show themselves at the finish. Moderately carbonated with a full body. I could drink five more.

bottle.....pours dark amber brown with a significant off white head....aroma of creamy sweet bourbon and vanilla, malt and soft fruit. really like it to be honest.....flavors of, wow, are the scores for this that low?! nice barrel aged presence with a tart cherry fruit profile which all comes together pretty well i think. a nice oaky, bourbon flavor to it all which is quite nice. creamy mouthfeel that adds to the quality of this beer......all in all, very much more deserving of the 3.7 average but that’s just me.

Thanks to Schroppfy for this bottle. Amber in color with amedium-large off white head. Aroma: Very funky, and alot of sour fruit, oak, light bourbon. Taste is also very funky- sour cherry, oak, light vanilla and wood. Medium bodied with light caramel touches. Finishes with tart fruit and light touches of wood. Another great beer from Jolly Pumpkin.

Thanks to Eric for sharing this beer. Pours a light amber with a great head. The aroma is moslty sourness; some apples and oak. The taste is really quite good; smooth tartness that is not overpowering, but good. Some funky qualities along with a oaky mild finish. A nice beer, something different that should be drank.

Courtesy Beerlando. This one poured a reddish brown color with a small white head. The aroma was of sour fruit, malts, oak and wood, and some of that JP funk as always. The flavor was much the same with the sour fruits coming through first with some oak flavors, and then followed by some vanilla, caramel, and a touch of funky tartness. The barrel aging has seemed to mellow this one out some, as it is not that sour. The fruits, oak and vanilla seem to be the most dominant, but it still has that classic funkiness to it. I really like all the complex flavors going on in this one. It was medium bodied that had a nice little sour finish to it. Really good, and I am glad I got to try this one.

12 oz bottle fron John’s Marketplace shared by Enniskillen! Nose of light tartness, berries, and woodiness; Raspberry colored with a small pinkish head; flavor very lightly sour raspberries with some wood but without the vanilla or bourbon as a lot of these borbon arrel aged ones have.

Foggy amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is lightly sour, crystal malts, very light black cherries, light about of oak. Taste is a nice tartness, followed by a light oak, light cherries showing still which is unexpected. Good brew.

12 oz. red capped bottle gift from Styles. Pours a cloudy copper color with a large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Good tart fruit and woody aroma. Medium body. Medium tart fruit flavor with a good solid balanced finish of long duration. Another very interesting beer from this brewer.
