Pwn3d (1042), Manhattan, New York, USA Mar 31, 2008 Bottle as image appears. Probably better classified as a flemish sour ale. Strong notes of cherries and strawberry in this bad boy with perfect ripe carbonation. Real nice, cant go wrong with Jolly Pumpkin donteatpoop (124), Youngstown, Ohio, USA Mar 30, 2008 Pours a nice cloudy red with a nice thick head.
The smell is unbelievably enticing, full of spice.
A bit of a sour beer, but nothing extreme.
Perhaps the carbonation level could be tamed a bit.
Great beer, but not one I could see myself drinking regularly.

campmonster (9), USA does not count Mar 27, 2008 Murky looking. The flavor is as playful as the artwork. Sweet notes. Refreshing finish. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Mar 24, 2008 750ml - Red pour, light tan head, green apple nose, powerfully acidic palate. A nice thought that missed the mark. reakt (938), Greater London, England Mar 23, 2008 Takeaway bottle from The London Drunkard Fest, Camden, shared with Mes & Sim @ the ’rents. Pours a reddish amber with a thin but firm off white head and some slight sediment. Nose is Woody and vinous with malt, candi sugar and a fruit hint that I can only describe as Welch’s grape juice or jelly. Taste is much the same, again woody, vinous and sweet with caramel and grape jelly notes, maybe some plum or cherry if you really try. The alcohol is well hidden, although it all seems a bit thin on the ground to support the bold flavours, imho. It’s alright but I’ll be damned if I’d make the effort to buy this over Rodenbach, a second rate imitation to say the least. nightrider (370), encinitas, California, USA Mar 22, 2008 Poured from the bottle and a thin whispy white head over a murky amber red. Sour and tart fruit with not an overpowering presence. Good feel in your mouth and fairly good longevity. Mellow oakiness. Good ale. Tilley4 (218), Huron, Tennessee, USA Mar 22, 2008 I enjoyed this one a lot. This is my first Jolly Pumpkin brew and I was a little apprehensive but not any more.
Murky brown pour with a very impressive head, this ale smells of sour fruit, some malt, and something sort of funky which I like.
Nice and sour on the finish, this is very drinkable and a big surprise. I liked this a lot and drank every bit of it.
Great! golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Mar 15, 2008 Bottle, old label. Brown-orange pour. Aroma is light funk, leather, and light roasted malt. Flavor is a bland beer with some tartness on top, some oak. Just not very good.
