mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA Jun 26, 2009 Bottle pours medium amber with a very bubbly head. Aroma of smoke and oak. Body of slightly sweet and tart fruits and sugars. Bit of vanilla at the end. Nice sour. JJClark (545), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Jun 25, 2009 Bottle from trade with guyinchicago. Thanks Chuck! Pours hazy amber color with thick off-white head. Aroma of oak, brett and raspberries. Sweet fruity Flavor is semi sweet from fruit and spices but it had a dry tart finish. Very smooth and well balanced. Excellent brew!! GranvilleTim (465), Granville, Illinois, USA Jun 23, 2009 Ruby red pour with a thick, frothy off-white head pour. Aroma of oak, sour, fruit, a slight cherry aroma and taste. Sour, oak, a nice woody taste, slight sweetness at the end, dry. Nice lacing on the glass. The foam actually clings heavily to the glass. Nice balance to all the flavors which results in a refreshing glass. Alcohol is not noticeable. Tye head is comprised of thousands of bubbles. Great aftertaste in the mouth, just like the first sip. MereLikesBeer (153), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA Jun 23, 2009 My second beer from Jolly Pumpkin...and it yet again does not disappoint! Amazing beverages, amazing brewery! So it pours a nice pretty sort of cider color - light brown and a nice super light tan color head. It smells amazing, clearly from the oak aged situation. Aroma is sort of winey, grapes and such. It tastes great...spicy, sort of sweet like caramel, maybe a bit of cider vinegar - for lack of a better taste...It’s great! I got this bottle with my friend BeerBaron617 at the actual brewery, and they’re really cool there. Ron told us everything about all of their beers, so if you’re in MI, or Dexter...check them out for sure! shawnm213 (882), South Bend, Indiana, USA Jun 21, 2009 pours a hazy brown with a nice, tiny bubble head. Not as tart as I was hoping for . some woody notes, some dust, spice, sweet fruits. Very smooth. This was decent, but I was expecting more of a punch. jumpjet2k (136), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 17, 2009 Bottle, Blend 5 2008. Pours a hazy amber with a small but strong head. Aroma is musty, with sour cherry, apple, peach, and some oak notes present. Nicely tart and rich flavor that’s accompanied by a balanced oakiness and a little sweet fruit. Fairly dry in the finish. This is a well-balanced and well-crafted brew and is quite refreshing in the summer heat. grandridge (222), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA Jun 15, 2009 Blend 12 from 2007. Pours cloudy brown with a white head. Aroma has a typical flanders red musk. Acidic cherry, and some wood notes. Flavor is good, sour, and woody. This ia a nice flanders, easy drinking and not too sour. A good balance of earthy, spice and alcohol to add a good layer of complexity. Finish is dry and mouthfeel is medium to light with some good carbonation. I’m surprised at the drinkability of this brew. Good Job JP. Ygberg (82), Sweden Jun 14, 2009 Beutiful red colur. Typicale souer ale aroma. The taste is extremly souer, hints of cherrys, green apples.
