While flavor is big, it just didn’t seem complex enough, and this style is supposed to be a little sweeter.Glad I tried it,but I’ll

Aromas are yeast, tart apples, grapefruit, malt, and a little whiskey. Very enticing. This has a strong sour fruit character with flavors of apple, cherry, and lemon, champange. Some subtle spice maybe coming from hops that i can barely taste, and some bitter chocolate from prominent malts. Very distinguished, with a careful balance of malt strength and sour punch. One of the prettiest beers I’ve ever seen. Spicy aroma with hints of orchard fruit. Flavor has some apple skin, allspice, and tangy citrus notes along with a dry woody finish. What a wonderful brewery. I need more JP stuff and soon! AgentSteve (1379), SF Bay Area, California, USA

Aroma has a rich sourness... some lime component, bourbon, flowers. Very nice aroma. Some of the richness leaves in the flavor. Some grassy sour caramel malt. Earthy wood overlap the sour perfectly. Great flavor... just wish there was more of it. Really good drink; could see myself drinking this frequently and spending time with it. pantanap (1375), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Color is a deep hazy orange amber with very active carbonation and a tight little head. Taste is crisp and sour. Starting with a light body it goes down smooth with a crisp feel on the end. Finish is a bright sour flavor that has a very mild fruit taste then a little oak and faint bitterness. After taste is dry and sour but there seems to be a sweetness in there somewhere. This is the best Sour Ale I have had. The sour doesn’t overpower, letting it come out crisp and refreshing. ilovedarkbeer (1369), Dallas, Texas, USA

Notes of earthy, and malty, some wood, and fruity base notes. Not bad but a bit disappointing. I think I could craft this blend with the dregs of any tasting.
