COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Quick and The Dead
Sour ale brewed with pumpkin and lime.
Brewed Exclusively for the Rare Beer Club
We bring delight to our dance of a decaying mortal tune. The beauty of contrasts, of oposites and the shores on which they clash is the inspiration behind Los Vivos y Los Muertos. When The Rare Beer Club asked us to brew up something form (sic) the fringe of our imagination, we thought what better and more appropirate for this autumnal season than this? Cheers and Mahalo Plenty!

On tap at 2014 GTMW, pours a pale yellow with a very thin white head, the aroma has a little bit of funk and barnyard mixed in with each other, the flavor is kind of one note, a bit sour with a little bit of barnyard and yeast in the finish, not overly sour but has a bit of a punch not bad.

Bomber thanks to RespertFTW. Hazy gold with a frothy head. Light funk and vanilla and lime aromas. Barnyard and dry with a plasticy aftertaste.

GABF 2014. Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a light tan head. Really not an enjoyable beer. Lots of green olives and green herbal notes. A little bit of spiciness and citrus but overall, just a veggie flavor taste. Kind of surprised that others at GABF didn’t experience a similar flavor. Maybe I got a pour from a bad bottle.

Sampled at GABF 2014. Pours a lightly hazy body with white lacing. Aroma is deliously fresh, zippy lime. Great nose! Mouthfeel is delicately carbonated with notes of limeade, sour funk, sour fruit and absolutely no pumpkin (thank god).

Sampled at Where the Wild Beers Are, 6/7/14 (I’m keeping this a little shorter than my normal rating style to help catch-up my backlog a little faster)
A hazy golden beer with a pretty interesting flavor. There’s a good deal of stuff going on here.

HonkeyBra (3643) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - AUG 27, 2014
Sampled at GTMW 2014. Pours a hazed dark golden with a thick white head. Aroma of brett, yeast notes, mild earth and lime. Flavor is earthy, yeast, with mild sweetness and slight tartness. Finishes crisp and dry. Medium bodied, zippy mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Overall, this is pretty nice.
