4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 GregClow (2645) - Toronto, - SEP 13, 2006
Bottle shared with blankboy, tupalev & HogTownHarry - HogTownHarry’s bottle. Nice pale-ale-like appearance - amber-bronze colour with a good sized white head. Aroma - wow! It’s a funkified pale ale, really nice. Flavour starts a bit mellow, but develops nicely, with rounded fruit and herbal notes, and some earthy hops in the finish. Another great weird-ass beer from JP.

75cl, as Luciérnaga, American brew, with Grains of Paradise, thx to Jeppe!, complex brew, malty/spicy and slightly woody/bitter, balanced, cloudy, rocky head, nice brew, yet expensive!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 msante79 (1718) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - JAN 28, 2012
750ml bottle from Friar Tuck - Bloomington. Pours murky caramel color with large and thick off-white head. Very lively carbonation. Almost champagne like quality. Aromas of spices, brett, funk, some lemon, and coriander. Flavor is really kind of muted compared to aroma. Notes of coriander, light spices, brett, maltiness, and a touch of citrus, and not really any hops. There is some tartness, but lacking the signature JP sourness I was hoping for. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy. Finishes really dry and almost chalky. Decent beer, but I feel a little disappointing based how much I have fell in love of this brewery as of late.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 weihenweizen (628) - West Virginia, USA - JAN 20, 2012
Refrigerated bottle poured into a trappist glass (pour this in a wide rim glass). Pours hazy amber with thick off-white head. After pouring the first glass the bottle foamed out of the bottle. Extremely good small bubble lacing, medium effervexcent body, well carbonated and spicy aroma. Taste is spicy caramel malt and finishes a little dry.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 berlinoise2go (340) - NORWAY - JAN 13, 2012
Bottle from Vinmonopolet (Vika), Oslo. Gusher. Large offwhite, bubbly head, good retention, settles as a robust ring. Lovely amber colour, slighly hazy. Aroma of barnyard, vinegar, honey, coriander seed, concentrated fruit juice. Taste is well-balanced, fruity/acidic and mildly tart with an underlying sweetness, maybe a bit watery. Dry finish. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Pours a deep copper colour with a white head. Aroma of sour fruits, some vegetables and some stuffy spices. Flavour of of sour fruits, hops, pale malts, spices and of course Jolly Pumpkin sourness. Medium bodied, thick mouthfeel and a dry, slightly spicy finish. Good one.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tiong (990) - Espoo, FINLAND - DEC 21, 2011
750ml bottle from Bierkompass
Pours orange with a medium foamy head. Aroma has notes of malts, spices, fruits and floral notes. Taste is quite fruity and malty with notes of spices, yeast and floral notes. Hints of sourness as well. Finish is smooth and slightly hoppy, Okay, quite strange mix of a pale ale and a Belgian ale.
