Hazy orange pour with good white head and sticky lacing. Nose is sweaty socks, that have only been worn for a few hours though, a little white pepper, and hint of lemon zest. Flavor has a lot of citric acidity, with coriander, and a perfumy hops. Very refreshing crisp palate. Reminds me of a tasty saison. This is the type of beer I would want to take a bath in. Very complex aroma- dry & spicy brett (Brux), leather and rustic, a soft prune note, nutmeg, dried orange peel, and a soft dry oak presence. Crisp frothy feel. Very dry flavor. Slightly citric and dusty with a minerally presence and a rustic layer of leather covering up some citric/grassy hop notes. The flavor isn’t as complex as the outstanding aroma. Has some spicy/tannic apple skins as well. A great dry Belgian Ale. beersearcher (311), Glendale, California, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 1, 2009 I have enjoyed every Jolly Pumpkin beer I have tasted and this was no exception. In fact, this was probably my favorite after Biere De Mars. The color was a cloudy orange, hazy. The head was viciously strong and took a while to settle. it looked like whipped fluff sitting on top of the brew. The smell was funk! Funky, funky, with some sour vinegar and mustiness but I liked it! The taste was also sour, fruity, dry, delicious. The Jolly Pumpkin beers are kinda costly but they really are well made beers. Excellent!
