Orange-amber in colour with a very large and lingering creamy white head, excellent lacing. The aroma is citrusy, some oak, pepper, some sweetness, apples. The flavour is of light oak, spices, bourbon and some alcohol heat, citrus, light sourness throughout. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes long, some funk and alcohol heat.

Its not bad, it had a bit of a thinner body but had some nice spice.

355ml bottle obtained in a trade with zathrus13, thanks Jeff.

Thanks to Cheeseman and Northernbrews for supplying a couple of these. Aroma is funky apples. Flavor is more funk, apples and a strong acidity. I don’t remember which vintage it was, but one was much smoother than the other. I’m assuming this was the older. However, both were very good.

Bottle from the Otown throwdown. Very nice golden/amber pour wtih a small head. aroma is sour apples, oak, tartness, funk, barnyard aromas and some yeasty notes to go along with the bourbon. This was a great tasting beer. So much going on. Fruity, yeasty, bourbon, tartness, woody notes, leather and meats all come together to make a helluva beer. Finally a JP that I can relate to!

12 oz bottle, "21 month". Thanks moejuck! Very intriguing brew...a lot of interesting stuff goin on. Sweet, fruity aroma w/ a touch of hops & oak. Not overwhelming. Flavor is filled w/ tropical fruits, some oaky ’bourbon’ undertones, and a distinct funky tartness. Did i say interesting??? Pretty cool beer!

Bottle sampled @ Hellbilly’s Hellraiser 3.0 Tasting via psprings. THANKS PAUL!!! 24 karat gold in color with a hint of pink grapefruit and a small eggshell head. Aroma is more barrel and bourbon than other sours of the night. Barnyard funk, Belgian yeast, and Big Brett flavors...a very solid beer.

Bottle shared by psprings at hellbilly’s hellraiser 3.0 tasting. Sour fruits and some wood for aroma. Flavor was another dose of sour beer on the night. Thanks Paul.

Bottle shared by psprings.......I think too (this guy is out of control, send him free beer) Pours a hazy golden color with a small head. Aroma is funk, flemish like. Flavor is funky, tart, yeast, wood, barrely, fruits. Nice sour! Thanks Paul.
