3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap, hazy golden pour with small off white head. Aroma of yeast, spice, hops, floral and citrus. Taste of yeast, spice, citrus, rather quite tart and a slight hop finish that is dry. Something just not quite right on this for me but still a decent beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from the shop. Pours a beautiful clear golden with big fluffy white head. Aroma of fruity Brett, apples, pears, citrus, lemon peel, dry oak, and some spice. Flavor is bretty to the core, sour apples, sweet pears, orange peel, and a nice bitter dry crisp finish. Light on the palate and easy drinking with lots of carbonation. Nice summer beer which pushes the Saison/farmhouse style more than pale ale style.

This beer seemed more like a sour/wild to me. Loved it. Smelled like tart wine. Color was medium gold/brown with decent head. Taste is tart and slightly sweet. Medium mouthfeel with refreshing carbonation. Bottle - Gift from Sister-In-Law

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Glowing cloudy orange. Great sour smells like a tart slightly fermenting green grape. Starts off bitte that turns tart then funky then finishes dry.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
750ml bottle - Pours a dark amber with a fluffy offwhite head that looks like soapsuds and laces the whole way down the tulip. Aromas of yeast, floral hops, spices, and underneath some bread. Taste is bread, floral hops, spice, yeast, a bit of citrus, and some candy sugar. This is quite complex for an American made Belgian. Palate is somewhat dry but medium bodied and carbonated pretty well. Feels very nice in the mouth. Closest thing to the Iris yet.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Blend #2, bottled in April 29, 2010.
Appearance: The body is a hazy amber with a towering light tan head that dissipates very slowly. The head dissipates very unevenly, creating a maze through to the liquid.
Aroma: The aroma is tart and funky with some leather, lemons and bright cherries. Very enticing!
Taste: Slightly tart with cherries up front into musky malts with an overlying tart lemon. The finish is mild and refreshing, semi-tart lemon and hints of malts. This drinks nice for a 3 year old beer.
Palate: A bit watery with mild carbonation. The bottle is slowly gushing, pushing up a snake of carbonation, so I’m guessing the carbonation is leaving the beer and not present in the body despite a huge head.
Overall: I wasn’t expecting much, but this is decent. I like the bright lemon and cherry flavors but the malts have become musky and distract from the flavor. The beer is also overcarbed, but at the same time it’s lost the carbonation in the body. I would like to try this fresh as it’s likely great.
