3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml served in a snifter
A - Ruby grapefruit orange with a thick white head with good specks but overall average at best.
S - Smells like an an acid trip of dank wet basement, bright but old lemons, 60 year old man slacks(pressed) pineapple sprinkled with dust, woody orange, briny shellfish. Sounds weird until you read this while smelling it and go WOW!
T - Sour pineapple, cider apples, over ripened grapefruit, dry herbal character, basement funk creeps over but is subtle, a very pale malt resides under a wet church pew funk. The finish is very dry and dusty with the yeast standing out.
M - Light to medium feel, creamy carbonation, very wet but dry at the finish.
This is an excellent beer to pour and just explore the different flavors, textures, and strange characteristics of what wild yeast can do to a beer. Good citrus and tropical flavors a slightly tart and sweet character while the basement funk is subtle and bold at the same time. Good stuff here. Reminds me of an Orval redux.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
750 ml. bottle a little over a year aged- Pours hazy golden with a three finger white head that is slowly reducing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, pepper, banana, honestly it smells a lot like a tripel. The taste is fruity, yeasty, very creamy and delicious, some funkiness to add nice depth and a nice hoppy bitterness mostly in the finish. Light on the palate, carbonation is high. Really enjoyed this one, another winner from JP.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rich copper and amber coloured body with a very thick, tan head. Aroma of sour grapes, malt and caramel. Medium-bodied; Assertive brettanomycs with a very sour flavour, some cherries and a touch of oaky dryness. Some light spices and caramel noticeable on the end as well. Aftertaste clean and smooth with some lingering sour tastes - just like a Jolly Pumpkin beer! Overall, a very nice beer and very far removed from the style. Great to try, especially on tap! I sampled this pint on draught at Hop Cat in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 06-November-2010.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark orange, hazy, small bubbly head. Fresh light spring hops, pale malts, herbs. Soapy. Pretty nice. Biter start, with lots of hops and herbal appeal. Great brew. (ZeeBra)
